Kenzie Hall hit his second century in successive matches before Nathan McCombe produced the Premiership season’s best bowling figures as Bready crushed Strabane by 184 runs. Hall made 106 from 132 balls, striking 14 fours and two sixes, and added 82 with Josh van Heerden. Bready then collapsed from 195 for 2 to 207 for 9 before McCombe’s 23 and Travis Faulkner’s unbeaten 17 lifted them to 246. Ryan Gallagher took 5 for 30. McCombe then tore through Strabane with 7 for 41, while David Scanlon claimed 2 for 15, as the visitors were dismissed for just 62.

Bready climbed to fourth in the table with an impressive 74-run victory over Coleraine, inspired by two of their major close-season signings. The Magheramason side posted a formidable 265 for 9 thanks to a superb partnership between Kenzie Hall and Josh van Heerden. Hall, beginning to find his stride since arriving from Killyclooney, produced a magnificent 141 from 140 deliveries, striking 15 fours and four sixes. He shared a match-defining stand of 199 with Van Heerden, whose fluent 87 from 93 balls included five fours and three sixes. Scott Campbell (4-54) and Louren Steenkamp (3-42) claimed wickets but could not stem the flow of runs. Coleraine's reply never recovered after Nathan McCombe dismissed Steenkamp first ball. Campbell (35), Jacob Logan-Wilson (35), David Cooke (34 not out) and Matty Smyth (28) battled hard, but another new recruit, Charlie Downey, underlined his quality with an outstanding 4 for 32 as the Bannsiders were dismissed for 191.

Fox Lodge completed a perfect weekend by following their cup semi-final success with a hard-earned four-wicket league victory over Bready. The hosts recovered impressively from 137 for 7 to post 224 for 9, thanks largely to an outstanding unbeaten 66 from David Scanlon. The all-rounder struck seven fours and three sixes in a 51-ball rescue act, while Kyle Magee (33), David Rankin (29) and Kenzie Hall (27) all made useful contributions. Aaron Heywood and Levi Kerr claimed two wickets apiece for the hosts. Fox Lodge paced their chase expertly, with the in-form Jason Milligan once again leading the way. Milligan made 80 from 111 deliveries, hitting seven fours and three sixes, and shared a 60-run stand with Gayan Maneeshan, who contributed a fluent 50 from 55 balls. He then added a decisive 82 for the fifth wicket with Craig Doherty, whose aggressive 51 included six fours and two sixes. Milligan fell with just six needed but there was to be no late twist as Fox Lodge stay third in the slipstream behind leaders Newbuildings and Strabane.

Bready claimed their first win of the season and moved off the foot of the table with a six-wicket victory over Donemana. Luke Marillier produced a magnificent innings for the visitors, carrying the batting for almost the entire innings before falling in the final over for 118 from 152 balls, an effort containing nine fours and four sixes. He shared a crucial 85-run fifth-wicket partnership with Levi Dougherty, who struck 45, helping Donemana reach 226-7. Bready's reply began shakily with two early wickets, but a match-winning third-wicket stand of 198 transformed the contest. Josh van Heerden starred with a brilliant 111 from 103 balls, including 13 fours and a six, while David Rankin finished unbeaten on 83. Donemana's bowling badly felt the absence of injured Ireland all-rounder Andy McBrine, and their overseas professional Awais Zafar.

Newbuildings climbed to second place in the Premiership with an emphatic 73-run victory over neighbours Bready, who remain rooted to the foot of the table. The home side piled up an imposing 324 all out in 49.2 overs thanks largely to a devastating third-wicket partnership between Peat Salmon and Jared Wilson. The pair added 180 in superb fashion after early wickets had given Bready some encouragement. Salmon dominated the attack with a breathtaking 143 from just 94 deliveries, smashing 11 fours and 13 sixes in one of the innings of the season. Wilson provided the perfect foil with an equally aggressive 84, striking 10 fours and four sixes as the hosts took complete control. Mark Hanna added 22 and Josh Wilson chipped in with 20 late in the innings. David Rankin battled hard for Bready with 4-49, while Charlie Downey claimed 3-52 against his former club. Young left-armer Travis Faulkner also impressed with 2-44. Bready were hampered by the absence of professional Josh van Heerden from bowling duties. The chase started brightly as Ben Campbell’s 33 helped put on 62 for the opening wicket with Kenzie Hall. Although David Rankin fell cheaply, Hall and Van Heerden launched an impressive counterattack, adding 85 in just nine overs. Hall made 54 with three fours and three sixes, while Van Heerden blasted a 36-ball 58 featuring nine boundaries and two maximums. At 163 for 2 just after the halfway stage, Bready were firmly in contention, but the dismissal of Van Heerden proved decisive. From there Newbuildings regained control, with skipper Ross Hunter taking four wickets as Bready were eventually bowled out for 251.

No play was possible at The Boathole, and as this was the second opportunity, none of the sides get any points.

Defending champions Brigade overcame tricky batting conditions and a brief mid-innings wobble to secure a four-wicket win over Bready in a rain-reduced 36-over contest. Runs proved hard to come by throughout the day, with only ten fours and one six struck in the entire Bready innings. South African professional Josh van Heerden anchored the effort with a patient 51 from 77 balls, while Kyle Magee contributed 25 in support as Bready closed on 145-5. Ryan Macbeth was the standout bowler, finishing with impressive figures of 2-17 to keep the scoring under control. Brigade’s chase started poorly with David Barr and Adam McDaid both falling early, but former Bready players Gavin Roulston and Scott Macbeth swung the momentum firmly in the visitors’ favour. The pair added 73 for the third wicket, with Roulston compiling a composed 51 featuring three fours and a six. Macbeth was the aggressor, blasting 45 from only 43 deliveries with three fours and three sixes. Although Bready threatened a comeback with a couple of quick wickets, Ifty Hussain’s unbeaten 34 alongside Andy Britton guided Brigade safely home with 15 balls to spare to help ease the pain of their forfeiture last Sunday.

Aaron Gillespie's brilliant hundred steered Strabane to an emphatic seven wickets win at Bready in the only game to go ahead in the Premiership. He hit 9 fours and eight sixes in his unbeaten 120, sharing a match winning second wicket partnership of 183 in 28 overs with Rhys Logue who proved the perfect foil. Logue's fine 70 included seven fours and one maximum. David Rankin took two wickets to get Bready a bonus point but it was scant consolation on a dominant Strabane display. Earlier, wickets for Mohammed Mohsin (3-50), Manav Aggarwal (2-25) and Vadivel Moorthy (2-35) reduced the hosts to 122 for 7, but David Scanlon, not for the first time, rallied the tail as he thumped five sixes in an unbeaten 44-ball 59, putting on 106 in the last 14 overs with Charlie Downey (27) and Nathan McCombe (19*). A final total of 228 for 8 looked competitive - but it wasn't.
