North West Under-16 Girls secured second place in the interprovincial table with a convincing 64-run victory over Leinster at Campbell College. In-form Bready all-rounder Jodie Spence led the way with a superb 54 from just 35 balls, striking six fours and two sixes. She shared a decisive second-wicket stand of 73 with Bonds Glen’s Emily Young, who made 33, as North West posted 141 for seven. Leinster never threatened the target, closing on 77 for eight from their 20 overs. Subamanya Ramnathpur top-scored with 20, while Abbie-Gail McGerrigle impressed with two wickets for nine runs in an excellent spell.

Katie O’Toole produced a superb all-round display as Cricket Leinster Girls Under-16s swept past North West by nine wickets. Katie claimed 3 for 15 as North West were dismissed for 77, despite Jodie Spence’s battling 23. Lily McDonagh and Sana George took two wickets apiece, while Lauren Bolton and Annabel Walsh also struck. Katie then dominated the chase, hitting ten fours in an unbeaten 55 from 38 balls. Aadita Ramnathpur made eight before falling to Aoife McGarrigle, but captain Susie Whaley added an unbeaten 16 as Leinster raced to their modest target in just 12.1 overs.

A sensational last over from Katie West saw her claim 3 wickets and concede only 2 runs as the North West sought 3 for victory. That took the match to a Super Over with West the bowler conceding only 2 singles, a Leg-bye and a Wide while claiming another 2 wickets. Two Wides, a single and a boundary wraps things up for the NCU - 7-0 off 2 deliveries. The NCU escape with a win when all seemed lost.

North West's winning start to the interprovincial series ended with a heavy nine-wicket defeat to the NCU at Downpatrick. Less than 24 hours after beating Leinster, the visitors were dismissed for just 55 in 15 overs as Matilda McCartney starred with 4-15, while Ella Naylor (2-3) and Olivia Morrow (2-17) kept the pressure on throughout. Chasing only 56, Lucie Harper struck a fluent 27, including five boundaries, in an opening stand of 53 with the unbeaten Eva Cupitt (17*). Abbey-Gale McGarrigle claimed the only wicket before Katie West sealed victory with plenty of overs to spare.

North West Girls opened their interprovincial campaign with a convincing 36-run win over Leinster at Bready. After losing Ella Wasson early, Jodie Spence and Emily Young transformed the innings with a superb second-wicket partnership of 128. Spence top-scored with 67, while Young made 59 as the hosts posted 178-7 from their 30 overs. Leinster's reply was derailed by three run-outs and wickets for Spence, Anna McGurk and Abbey-Gale McGarrigle, leaving them struggling at 61-6. Sana George (50*) and Annabel Walsh (37*) shared an unbroken stand of 81, but North West always remained in control to secure an impressive opening victory.
