The Boathole, 7 June.

Richard 'Fish' Wylie (Eglinton CC)
Eglinton beat St Johnston in a sudden-death bowl-out at the Boathole. Perhaps it was fitting that a player nicknamed 'Fish' was the hero for the villagers with Richard Wylie striking the stumps twice to seal Eglinton's place in Tuesday's draw. For St Johnston, Nathan Cole was their only player to strike, and the Donegal side will now participate in the Sammy Jeffrey Shield instead.

Kenzie Hall hit the stumps for Bready in their bowl-out win at Glendermott. (CricketEurope)
The second of the four replays to go to the dreaded bowl-out saw Bready beat Glendermott 2-1 at The Rectory. Josh van Heerden and Kenzie Hall hit for the Tyrone side, while Alan Johnson was on the mark for Glendermott. The consolation for the home side is that they will get the opportunity to defend the Sammy Jeffrey Shield they won so convincingly last year, and the final is also scheduled for the Rectory.
NW Senior Cup
Brigade lost to Ardmore 1-0 in a bowl-out.
Beechgrove, 7 June.
Brigade 0
Ardmore 1
Kasun Aberaytne (Edrees)
Ardmore are through after they got the better of Brigade in another shoot-out. The first four balls from each side all missed, but Ardmore professional Kasun Aberaytne struck with the last to give the Bleachgreen side the advantage. Ifty Hussain missed with Brigade's last to continue his unwanted record of losing no fewer than three Senior Cup bowl-outs, two with Brigade and one with Fox Lodge.

Eglinton struggled to build momentum after being asked to bat, finishing on 74-6 from their 17 overs. Cara Lamberton top-scored with 13, while Coleraine's bowlers shared the wickets around. Anna McGurk produced an economical spell of 2-3, with Kenya McCartney also impressing with 2-7. The chase was completed comfortably in the 11th over. Winners are grinners. Timothy Dougherty and Jason Wallace. (Killyclooney CC)
Killyclooney climbed to second place in the NW Championship after edging out Eglinton by one wicket in a dramatic DLS encounter at Killyclooney. In a match reduced to 35 overs per side, Eglinton were dismissed for 105 in 23.3 overs despite a promising start. Dunith Jayathunga top-scored with 34, including four fours and a six, helping his side reach 83 for 4. However, his dismissal triggered a collapse as Eglinton lost their final six wickets for just 22 runs. Jason Wallace was the chief destroyer with 4-23, while Timothy Dougherty claimed 3-33. Set a revised target of 88 from 22 overs, Killyclooney's chase got off to a disastrous start. Kyle Moore and Ian Young tore through the top order, reducing the hosts to 7 for 4, with Keenan Viera falling first ball. Dougherty counterattacked superbly, striking 40 from the middle order and sharing a vital 47-run stand with Cody Mehaffey. Eglinton fought back through Andy Millar and Robbie Millar, and when Killyclooney slipped to 77 for 9 the visitors appeared favourites. However, Derek Lynch and Wallace held their nerve, with Wallace striking two crucial boundaries to secure a thrilling one-wicket victory.

Ardmore 155 (36.2 overs; Mark Chambers 42, Adam Chester 33, Sadiq Safi 26; Alex Boyd 5-21, Ben Mills 2-31)

Alex Boyd took five wickets. (CricketEurope)
Glendermott moved to the top of the NW Championship table after a hard-fought four-wicket DLS victory over Ardmore at The Rectory. The visitors were in trouble early on as teenage paceman Alex Boyd ripped through the top order, reducing Ardmore to 22 for 4. Among the casualties was Sri Lankan professional Kasun Aberaytne, who endured a three-ball duck as Boyd finished with impressive figures of 5-21. Ardmore recovered admirably thanks to contributions throughout the middle order. Captain Mark Chambers led the way with a composed 42, striking five fours and a six, while debutant Adam Chester impressed with a brisk 33 that included four boundaries and two maximums. Sadiq Safi added 26 as the visitors battled their way to 155 all out in 36.2 overs. Ben Mills provided excellent support for Boyd with 2-31. Set a revised target of 133 from 34 overs, Glendermott made a positive start before Ardmore fought back through Conor Brolly. The seamer removed in-form openers Blayde Capell and Ben Mills to put the brakes on the chase and continued his fine spell by dismissing Craig Averill and Alan Johnson. Averill's 44 had put the hosts in a strong position, but Brolly's 4-34 ensured there would be no easy route to victory. With the match finely balanced, Trevor Britton held his nerve superbly, finishing unbeaten on 24 to guide Glendermott over the line and secure a valuable win that sends them top of the table.
NW Championship
Ballyspallen v Burndennett - match abandoned.

Burndennett 179-8 (41 overs; Usman Azhar 83, Mark Doherty 32, Ben Logue 20; Graham Kennedy 5-24)
Ballyspallen
Graham Kennedy (Ballyspallen CC)
Frustration was the overwhelming feeling at Ballyspallen as rain forced the abandonment of the NW Championship clash with Burndennett after the first innings had been completed. Burndennett posted a competitive 179 for 8 from their 41 overs, thanks largely to an excellent innings from Usman Azhar. The all-rounder struck 83, including six fours and six sixes, and shared a crucial fifth-wicket partnership of 90 with Ben Logue, who contributed 20. Earlier, opener Mark Doherty had laid a solid foundation with 32. Ballyspallen's bowling effort was led superbly by left-arm spinner Graham Kennedy, who returned outstanding figures of 5 for 24 to keep the visitors in check. However, with rain arriving during the interval, the second innings never got underway. Both sides will now have to do it all again in a replay after the weather had the final say.

Coleraine produced a convincing all-round display to secure a dominant nine-wicket victory over Eglinton. The visitors struggled throughout their innings and were restricted to 62-8 from their 20 overs, with Tanisha Hussain’s 27 comfortably the standout contribution. Coleraine’s bowlers maintained control from the outset, with Kenya McCartney leading the attack superbly to claim 3-20, while Rebecca Tosh provided excellent support with economical figures of 2-9. In reply, Coleraine made light work of the modest target, reaching 63-1 in just 11.4 overs. St Johnston lost to Bready by walkover.

St Johnston
Bready
Yet another walkover for Bready who also had one on Sunday. It's been a disjointed start to the season, and hopefully things will improve and matches start to take place rather than forfeitures all over the show.

Megan McClintock top-scored with 20, but wickets fell at regular intervals as Bonds Glen’s bowlers dominated from the outset. Sarah Haslett produced a devastating spell, taking 3-1, while Lucy Thompson also impressed with 3-15. Fox Lodge 120-3 (18.5 overs; K Bates 40*, E Allen 24*, E Moore 20)
Shannon Porter scored an unbeaten 67 (David Anthony)
Fox Lodge claimed an important victory over newly promoted St Johnston at Ballymagorry, chasing down their target with seven balls to spare. Batting first, St Johnston posted 117-4 from their 20 overs thanks almost entirely to an outstanding innings from Shannon Porter. Opening the batting, Porter carried her bat for an unbeaten 67 from 74 deliveries, striking 11 boundaries in a determined knock. However, she received little support from the rest of the batting line-up as Fox Lodge kept the scoring under control for long periods. Elle Moore was the standout bowler for the hosts, taking 2-21. Fox Lodge’s reply got off to a shaky start and they found themselves in trouble at 57-3 after star batter Mollie Devine went cheaply. With the game finely balanced, Kara Bates and Emma Allen produced a match-winning fourth-wicket partnership to guide their side home. Bates finished unbeaten on 40, while Allen contributed 24 not out in an unbroken stand of 63 that came in just ten overs. In a tight contest, St Johnston were ultimately hindered by conceding 32 extras with the ball, a factor that proved decisive in the final result.

Magheramason, 11 May.

Defending champions Bready continued their dominant start to the Women’s Premiership season with an emphatic 129-run victory over Coleraine. Batting first, Bready piled up an imposing 174-3 from their 20 overs, with Lucy McGranaghan leading the charge with an unbeaten 59. McGranaghan shared an excellent opening partnership of 83 inside the first ten overs with Ella Wasson, who made a lively 30. Both players struck four boundaries apiece as they laid the perfect foundation for another commanding total. Mansi Bhavsar added 23 during the middle overs, while Alana Dalzell provided the late fireworks with an unbeaten 14. Irish international Dalzell also struck the only six of the innings as Bready accelerated towards the finish. Coleraine’s bowling attack struggled for control, conceding 47 extras, including 38 wides, which further boosted the champions’ total. Kia McCartney was the pick of the bowlers with 2-29. Any hopes of a successful chase quickly disappeared as Bready’s bowlers dominated from the outset. Coleraine were dismissed for just 45 in 13.1 overs, with Sophie Hamilton producing outstanding figures of 4-10. Having now won their opening two matches by huge margins, Bready have already underlined their credentials as title favourites once again.
Eglinton beat Fox Lodge by 1 wicket.
Eglinton, 4 May.
Fox Lodge 82-5 (20 overs; Elle Moore 23, Kara Bates 17; Cara Lamberton 2-9, Lucy Carmichael 2-14)
Eglinton 83-9 (15.1 overs; Allie McLaughlin 27; Kara Bates 2-13, Chloe Young 2-18, Mollie Devine 2-18)
There was a real thriller at Eglinton, where the hosts just edged out Fox Lodge by one wicket in a low scoring game. Elle Moore (23) and Kara Bates (17) were the main run scorers in a modest total of 82 for 5 - two wickets apiece for Cara Lamberton and Lucy Carmichael. Eglinton found scoring just as tough but Alice McLaughlin got them to the brink of victory with a top score of 27. When she fell, six were still needed but the villagers last pair of Emma Irwin and Lauren Whiteside got them over the line. There were two wickets each for Kara Bates, Chloe Young and Mollie Devine, but they will surely rue the concession of 34 extras - 29 of them bowling ones which ultimately cost them the game.

Local cricket and Bready got the defence of their Women's Premiership title off to a winning start with a 111-run win at Bonds Glen. Debutant Ella Wasson was the star of the show as she top-scored with 60 in a Bready total of 159 for 4, then took three wickets as the hosts were bowled out for just 48. Skippers past and present Lucy McGranaghan (21) and Alana Dalzell (20) got the Bready innings off to a solid start, but it was Wasson who stole the show. The teenager - who has also represented Northern Ireland as a youth international - hit four fours and two sixes in her 42-ball 60, adding 66 for the fourth wicket with Jodie Spence (31). Rihanna Young (2-30) was the pick of the Bee Gees attack. Leah Thompson (14) was the best of a below-par chase, with as well as Wasson's exploits with the ball, there were two wickets each for Alana Dalzell, Sophie Hamilton, and Tiara Mitchell.
