Bready climbed to fourth in the table with an impressive 74-run victory over Coleraine, inspired by two of their major close-season signings. The Magheramason side posted a formidable 265 for 9 thanks to a superb partnership between Kenzie Hall and Josh van Heerden. Hall, beginning to find his stride since arriving from Killyclooney, produced a magnificent 141 from 140 deliveries, striking 15 fours and four sixes. He shared a match-defining stand of 199 with Van Heerden, whose fluent 87 from 93 balls included five fours and three sixes. Scott Campbell (4-54) and Louren Steenkamp (3-42) claimed wickets but could not stem the flow of runs. Coleraine's reply never recovered after Nathan McCombe dismissed Steenkamp first ball. Campbell (35), Jacob Logan-Wilson (35), David Cooke (34 not out) and Matty Smyth (28) battled hard, but another new recruit, Charlie Downey, underlined his quality with an outstanding 4 for 32 as the Bannsiders were dismissed for 191.

Fox Lodge’s rebuilding project continues to show encouraging signs despite a narrow defeat as Eglinton claimed a five-wicket victory at Ballymagorry. Devine shared an opening stand of 42 with Jessica McClean before adding a further 48 for the second wicket alongside Emma Allen (13). Fox Lodge's reply suffered an immediate setback as Hannah Skinner struck twice in the opening over on her way to figures of 3-10. Ballymagorry, 8 June.
Fox Lodge 27 (14.1 overs; Lucy Thompson 4-8, Rihanna Young 2-4)
Bonds Glen 12-1 (3.1 overs)
Fox Lodge’s difficult season continued as their home fixture against Bonds Glen was washed out just as defeat appeared inevitable. A youthful Fox Lodge side, depleted after losing many of the players who helped dominate women’s cricket in recent years, struggled with both availability and a strong Bonds Glen bowling attack. They were dismissed for just 27 in 14.1 overs, with Lucy Thompson producing outstanding figures of 4-8 and Rihanna Young claiming 2-4. Bonds Glen made a confident start to the chase, reaching 12-1 in only 3.1 overs and looking firmly on course for victory when heavy rain swept in and forced the match to be abandoned. Shannon Porter scored an unbeaten 67 (David Anthony)
Fox Lodge claimed an important victory over newly promoted St Johnston at Ballymagorry, chasing down their target with seven balls to spare. Opening the batting, Porter carried her bat for an unbeaten 67 from 74 deliveries, striking 11 boundaries in a determined knock. However, she received little support from the rest of the batting line-up as Fox Lodge kept the scoring under control for long periods. Elle Moore was the standout bowler for the hosts, taking 2-21. Fox Lodge’s reply got off to a shaky start and they found themselves in trouble at 57-3 after star batter Mollie Devine went cheaply. Irish international Dalzell also struck the only six of the innings as Bready accelerated towards the finish. Coleraine’s bowling attack struggled for control, conceding 47 extras, including 38 wides, which further boosted the champions’ total. Kia McCartney was the pick of the bowlers with 2-29. There was a real thriller at Eglinton, where the hosts just edged out Fox Lodge by one wicket in a low scoring game. Elle Moore (23) and Kara Bates (17) were the main run scorers in a modest total of 82 for 5 - two wickets apiece for Cara Lamberton and Lucy Carmichael. Eglinton found scoring just as tough but Alice McLaughlin got them to the brink of victory with a top score of 27. When she fell, six were still needed but the villagers last pair of Emma Irwin and Lauren Whiteside got them over the line. There were two wickets each for Kara Bates, Chloe Young and Mollie Devine, but they will surely rue the concession of 34 extras - 29 of them bowling ones which ultimately cost them the game.

Skippers past and present Lucy McGranaghan (21) and Alana Dalzell (20) got the Bready innings off to a solid start, but it was Wasson who stole the show. The teenager - who has also represented Northern Ireland as a youth international - hit four fours and two sixes in her 42-ball 60, adding 66 for the fourth wicket with Jodie Spence (31). Rihanna Young (2-30) was the pick of the Bee Gees attack.
