Mardyke, 6 June.
Pembroke 237-4 (35 overs; M Cosgrave 64, A Sheriff 62, J Tector 51, G Hollins 41*; E O'Sullivan 2-34, T Prophet 2-35)
Cork County 155-9 (35 overs; J Hartill 65, N Anjum 43; A Sheriff 5-20, P Lawson 2-41)
Addison Sheriff (CricketEurope)
Pembroke strengthened their position at the top of the Cricket Leinster Premier League with an emphatic 82-run victory over Cork County at the Mardyke. The visitors posted an imposing 237 for 4 from their 35 overs, built around a superb second-wicket partnership of 114 between Macdara Cosgrave and Addison Sheriff. Cosgrave struck 64 from 70 balls, including five fours and two sixes, while Sheriff blasted 62 from just 57 deliveries with four boundaries. The acceleration continued late in the innings as Jack Tector made 51 from 41 balls and shared a rapid 60-run stand in seven overs with Greg Hollins, who finished unbeaten on 41 from 24 balls, hitting four fours and two sixes. Cork County's chase never seriously threatened the target as the required rate steadily climbed. Josh Hartill battled hard for 65 from 80 balls and, alongside Nabeel Anjum (43), added 77 for the fifth wicket to provide some resistance. Sheriff completed an outstanding all-round performance by claiming 5 for 20, ensuring Pembroke maintained their commanding lead at the summit.
CL Premier League
Clontarf lost to Merrion by 35 runs (DLS).
Castle Avenue, 6 June.
Merrion 150-3 (25 overs; S Modgill 62*, J Anderson 36*; N Khan 2-13)
Clontarf 166-9 (25 overs; K Joshi 37, E Delany 33; M O'Reilly 4-32, A Doheny 2-18) (Target: 202 in 25 overs.)
Mikey O'Reilly (CricketEurope)
Merrion claimed a 35-run DLS victory over Clontarf in a rain-affected Premier League clash at Castle Avenue. Merrion reached 150 for 3 from 25 overs before a lengthy interruption ended their innings. Swapnil Modgill anchored the effort with an unbeaten 62 from 67 balls, sharing half-century partnerships with Stephen Doheny and John Anderson, who finished 36 not out. Nawaz Khan was the pick of the Clontarf attack with 2-13. The revised target was set at a demanding 202 from 25 overs, and Clontarf's hopes were quickly dented by left-arm seamer Mikey O'Reilly. He ripped through the top order, removing Seamus Lynch, Mitchell Thompson, Sam Morgan and Fionn Hand in a decisive spell on his way to figures of 4-32. David Delany made 20, while a seventh-wicket stand of 62 between Eoghan Delany (33) and Karthik Joshi (37) restored some respectability, but Merrion remained comfortably in control throughout.
CL Premier League
Balbriggan beat Malahide by 39 runs (DLS).
Jack Harper Ground, 6 June.
Balbriggan 205 (47.1 overs; C de Freitas 67, P Naidoo 35; J Newland 3-30, R Foulkes 3-48, J Martins 2-32, T Khanduja 2-47)
Malahide 142 (32 overs; G Ford 34*; D Lues 4-31, R Strauss 2-20, M Hollard 2-24) (Target: 182 in 36 overs.)
Balbriggan secured a 39-run DLS victory over Malahide at the Jack Harper Ground to strengthen their position in the table. Batting first, Balbriggan were bowled out for 205 in 47.1 overs. De Freitas top-scored with 67, striking four fours and two sixes, while Naidoo contributed 35. Valuable late runs from Ruan Strauss, unbeaten on 21, and Dylan Lues, who made 17, helped push the total beyond 200. James Newland and Robbie Foulkes each claimed three wickets for Malahide. Set a revised target of 182 from 36 overs, Malahide were well placed at 86 for 3 thanks to a 49-run fourth-wicket stand between Greg Ford (34) and Jeremy Martins (19). However, the innings then collapsed as Dylan Lues starred with 4-31, dismissing Malahide for 142.

North County v Civil Service - no result.
Balrothery, 6 June.
Civil Service 231-5 (32.2 overs; E Silva 157; A Mathew2-33)
North County
North County's clash with Civil Service at Balrothery ended without a result after rain washed out the contest, denying spectators the chance to see a remarkable innings rewarded. Civil Service had reached 231 for 5 in the 33rd over, thanks almost entirely to a stunning knock from Edson Silva. After Eddie Richardson removed Deepak Jayachandran with the first ball of the match, Silva launched a breathtaking counterattack, smashing 157 from just 83 deliveries. His extraordinary innings featured 13 fours and 14 sixes and dominated the Civil Service total. Alan Mathew was the pick of the North County bowlers with figures of 2 for 33. Unfortunately, the weather intervened before any further play was possible, leaving Silva's magnificent effort in vain.

Ben Dillon and Kripesh Shetty each took three wickets, but a total of 277 for 8 was always going to be challenging. To their credit Terenure gave it a right go thanks primarily to an unbeaten 118 from skipper Henry Dall (12 fours, 3 sixes), but support was lacking aside from Mick Cotter's 22 as they ended on 240 - three wickets for Aryan Adelkar (3-11).

It's a funny old game as Greavsie once said. Cork Harlequins travelled with ten men and at 90 for 8 it looked a forlorn journey. Enter stage left Umer Khan who hit 6 sixes and three fours in a 33-ball 59 as the 9th and last wicket added 64. Kripesh Shetty took four wickets, while there were two apiece for Ben Dillon and Amir Bifanda. Sid Nair (53*) and Henry Dall (52) added 90 for the third wicket in the chase as Terenure reached 140 for 2 in the 19th over. Winners Knockharley (Baz Grimes)
Knockharley gained an excellent win thanks again to the exploits of Daneyaal Janjua who hit 5 sixes in a top score of 59, while Brandon Kruger hit 42 in their total of 246.
