Ireland 178-6 (20 overs; R Adair 39, L Tucker 38,B Calitz 26*, C Campher 25, G Dockrell 22*; H Ali 2-31, J Siddique 2-19)
UAE 121 (19.5 overs; M Waseem 40, A Sharma 23, G Delany 3-26, M Humphreys 3-26, B McCarthy 2-26)
George Dockrell's 4 overs cost only 12 runs.
3rd T20I: Italy beat Ireland by 4 wickets.
Dubai, 26 January.
Ireland 154 (19.4 overs; P Stirling 45, M Adair 25, B Calitz 22; C Kalugamage 3-28, JJ Smuts 2-18, G Stewart 2-27)
Italy 157-6 (19.3 overs; W Madsen 39, G Stewart 33*, G Meade 22; M Humphreys 2-23, M Adair 2-23)
Paul Stirling top scored with 45 (Cricket Ireland)
Ireland batting first in the third and final game of the series, put in by Italy. One change in the line-up with Craig Young in for Josh Little. Ross Adair (6) goes cheaply again, but Paul Stirling has raced to 40 including three sixes. Ireland wobble with Harry Tector becoming the second wicket to fall, quickly followed by Lorcan Tucker (0). Ben Calitz - who has been awarded a contract with CI - into his stride quickly as he races to 21*. Ireland 88/3 at drinks. Flurry of wickets sees Ireland in trouble at 95-6 in the 13th. They will need their batting depth today. Valuable 7th wicket stand of 43 in five overs between Mark Adair (25) and Gareth Delany (18) gives Ireland something to bowl at. Matthew Humphreys with a wicket in the first over of the Italian chase, while Mark Adair also claims one to leave Italy 27-2 after 4 overs. Now it's a first bowl on tour for Craig Young and he gets JJ Smuts - 44-3 after the powerplay. George Dockrell introduced as the sixth bowler and strikes second ball. Advantage Ireland at the halfway stage with Italy 70-4. Italy staying in contention thanks to Derbyshire's Wayne Madsen. 59 needed off last seven overs. Second wicket for Matthew Humphreys and it's the big one of Madsen. Baldly needed. 46 needed off last five overs. This could go all the way. But, a second wicket for Mark Adair has Ireland in control at 112 for 6. Remarkable finish with 16 needed off the last over and Grant Stewart tonks Barry McCarthy three times over the ropes to seal a first-win by Italy against Ireland.
2nd T20I: Ireland beat Italy by 24 runs.
Dubai, 25 January.
Ireland 190-5 (20 overs; H Tector 96*, L Tucker 27, P Stirling 23, G Dockrell 21)
Italy 166-4 (20 overs; A Mosca 69, W Madsen 61*; B McCarthy 2-43)
Harry Tector scored an unbeaten 96 (Cricket Ireland)
Harry Tector leading the way as Ireland posted a formidable looking total. Two boundaries off the first two deliveries of the final over took him to 96 but a leg bye off the next lost him the strike and the chance of a first T20 century. Antony Mosca and Wayne Madsen answered with a 125 run third wicket partnership, Mosca falling with fifty required off the final three overs. There's a second wicket for Barry McCarthy in the penultimate over leaving Italy needing 31 off the final over bowled by Josh Little. Madsen takes a boundary and a single off the first two deliveries but three dots to Harry Manenti and a single off the last leaves Ireland winners by 24 runs.
1st T20I: Ireland beat Italy by 3 wickets.
Dubai, 23 January.
Italy 118 (18.1 overs; A Mosca 35, H Manenti 20; M Humphreys 4-16, B McCarthy 2-14, G Delany 2-19, M Adair 2-30)
Ireland 119-7 (19.3 overs; H Tector 41, L Tucker 34; G Stewart 3-21, T Draca 2-25)
Lorcan Tucker scored 34 (Cricket Ireland)
Four wickets from Matthew Humphreys, plus two apiece from Barry McCarthy, Gareth Delany and Mark Adair helped Ireland dismiss Italy for 118. Paul Stirling and Ross Adair went cheaply in the chase, but a third wicket stand of 71 between top-scorer Harry Tector (41) and Lorcan Tucker (34) put Ireland in control. A flurry of wickets though had the Irish worried, before they fell over the line to win by three wickets with three balls to spare. Far from convincing, but a good work-out for both sides.
