In the BA County Cricket Festival, Ireland Under-15s suffered another heavy defeat as Yorkshire Schools eased to a 79-run victory in their semi-final. Yorkshire recovered from 14 for two to post 204 for nine from 50 overs, led by Jonny Higgins’ unbeaten 45, Lucas Arnot’s 35 and Zach Nuthall’s 31. Jude Waryck, Fintan McCarthy, David Agnew and Eli Clarke each claimed two wickets. Ireland never threatened the target and were dismissed for 125. Skipper David Agnew top-scored with 28, Joe Morrissey made 27 and Shravon Biju was unbeaten on 16. James Barraclough took four for 31, with Arnot and Ted Stead sharing four wickets.
ACE Programme beat Ireland by 47 runs.
