Balrothery, 6 June.
Civil Service 231-5 (32.2 overs; E Silva 157; A Mathew2-33)
North County
North County's clash with Civil Service at Balrothery ended without a result after rain washed out the contest, denying spectators the chance to see a remarkable innings rewarded. Civil Service had reached 231 for 5 in the 33rd over, thanks almost entirely to a stunning knock from Edson Silva. His extraordinary innings featured 13 fours and 14 sixes and dominated the Civil Service total. Alan Mathew was the pick of the North County bowlers with figures of 2 for 33. Unfortunately, the weather intervened before any further play was possible, leaving Silva's magnificent effort in vain.
