Gaur joins Bonds Glen for Premiership challenge
Bonds Glen have added considerable experience to their squad ahead of their return to the top flight after securing the signing of all-rounder Rachit Gaur for the 2027 season.

Gaur arrives with an impressive CV having previously played for Railway Union in Leinster before moving north after taking up work in Letterkenny. Since then he has represented Strabane, Brigade and Ardmore, winning Premiership titles with the latter two and establishing himself as one of the North West’s most accomplished all-rounders.
His finest season came in 2023 when he captained Ardmore to the Premiership title, scoring more than 1,000 runs during a remarkable campaign which saw him named BBC Radio Foyle Player of the Year.
Since then, however, Gaur’s progress has been badly disrupted by a serious knee injury which has restricted him to only a handful of appearances over the past two seasons.
The move to Bonds Glen therefore represents something of a fresh start, and both player and club will hope a change of scenery can help him rediscover the form which made him such an influential figure at Bleachgreen.
For newly-promoted Bonds Glen, his arrival provides exactly the sort of experience they will need as they prepare for the significant step up to Premiership cricket.
The club said: “Bonds Glen Cricket Club are delighted to announce the signing of Rachit Gaur for the 2027 season.
“Rachit is an excellent all-rounder who has played at the highest level in both the Leinster League and, more recently, in the North West Cricket Union. He is an extremely distinguished cricketer who will undoubtedly add quality and experience to the team as they make the step up to the Premiership.”
After a superb 2026 campaign which earned promotion, Bonds Glen will know the demands will increase substantially next summer.
In Gaur, though, they have recruited a player who knows exactly what it takes to succeed at that level — and who will be determined to prove his best days are far from behind him.
