Phoenix signed off with a 51-run victory over Rush after a powerful batting display carried them to 328 before the bowlers completed the job.

Shane Getkate led the way with an aggressive 88 from 65 balls, striking 11 fours and five sixes, while Amish Sidhu provided a steadier 51 from 87 deliveries.

Raghav Grover then added a run-a-ball 64, with eight fours and two sixes, before Bilal Iqbal produced a blistering late cameo of 38 from just 16 balls as Phoenix were bowled out for 328 in 47.5 overs.

Allan Eastwood was Rush’s most successful bowler with four for 59, while Abidullah Taniwal claimed three wickets.

Rush’s reply never quite threatened the target despite several substantial contributions.

Isaac Bird top-scored with 63 from 79 balls, while Jack Mcgee added 42 and Taniwal struck a rapid 41 from 27 deliveries.

Phoenix continued to take wickets at regular intervals, however, with Ben White leading the attack superbly. He claimed four for 56, while Sean McNicholl and Amish Sidhu picked up two wickets apiece.

Asher Abbasi gave Rush some late hope with a spectacular 62 from only 35 balls, hitting seven fours and five sixes, but the required rate had become too steep.

Shane Getkate then wrapped up the innings with his first delivery as Rush were dismissed for 277, sealing a relatively comfortable Phoenix win in a high scoring game.
