Clontarf cruised to a 187-run victory over Civil Service after Eoghan Delany’s unbeaten century and a decisive fourth-wicket partnership with Ethan Marshall put them firmly in control.

After losing Mitchell Thompson for 10 and Yash Balasubramanium for 25, Clontarf were 48 for two before David Delany helped steady the innings with 27.

The key stand then came between Eoghan Delany and Marshall, who added 108 for the fourth wicket. Delany anchored the innings superbly, finishing unbeaten on 101 from 122 balls with nine fours, while Marshall made 47 from 52 deliveries.

Fionn Hand then provided a powerful late flourish, hammering 58 from 39 balls with four fours and three sixes as Clontarf reached an imposing 297 for five from their 50 overs.

Sunny Malik took three wickets for Civil Service, while Vijay Adhikari claimed two.

The chase quickly unravelled as Civil Service slipped to 35 for five.

David Delany did the early damage with three for 20, while Nawaz Khan claimed two wickets.

Abhishek Arvind Kare offered the main resistance with 45 from 55 balls, but wickets continued to tumble around him.

Fionn Hand picked up two wickets in a single over before Luke Thomson finished things off with three for 28.

Civil Service were bowled out for just 110 in 25.4 overs, leaving Clontarf comfortable winners by 187 runs.
