North Fermanagh secured the League One title and with it promotion back to the Championship and senior cricket after a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over Drummond.

The Fermanagh side dominated from the outset, dismissing Drummond for just 78 in 20.2 overs before knocking off the target with few alarms to complete a memorable campaign.

Bilal Ahmad was the outstanding performer with the ball, returning superb figures of five for 24 from eight overs as Drummond struggled to build any momentum.

Badar Mahmood also impressed with two for 39, while B Basit claimed two for seven and David Mills picked up the remaining wicket.

JS Doey top-scored for Drummond with 25, while Jamie Mills made 22, but wickets fell steadily throughout the innings and no substantial partnership developed.

North Fermanagh's chase was measured rather than spectacular. David Smith fell early for two, but Christopher Faris and Rawal Waseem steadied matters with a useful second-wicket partnership.

Faris made 22 before being dismissed by Scott Irwin, while Waseem added 24.

Yasser Shafi then ensured there would be no late drama, finishing unbeaten on 19, with David Mills not out on six as North Fermanagh eased home.

The victory confirmed North Fermanagh as League One champions and completed their return to the Championship, restoring the club to senior cricket for next season.

They will replace relegated Letterkenny in the division, with promotion providing a fitting reward for an excellent season and marking an important step back up the North West cricket ladder.
