Ryan Barr smashed a superb century as Burndennett finished their campaign with a 47-run victory over Eglinton.

Barr was the star of the show, hammering 117 from just 71 balls as Burndennett were dismissed for 248. His destructive innings contained 11 fours and 10 sixes and changed the complexion of the innings after the hosts had been struggling somewhat.

Earlier, Mark Doherty made 39, including five sixes, while Marty Mahaffey struck 27 and Corey Roulston added 21.

Barr dominated the latter stages before eventually falling as the ninth wicket, with Andrew Lucas taking three for 53. Ian Young produced excellent figures of three for 19 from 10 overs, while Jack Martin claimed two wickets.

Eglinton's reply never really gathered enough momentum despite two half-centuries. Sri Lanks pro Dunith Jayathunga made 52 from 64 balls before falling to Conan Pollock, while Charlie Gault provided a late charge with 61 from 47 deliveries, striking eight fours and three sixes.

However, Burndennett continued to make regular breakthroughs. Ski McCay returned an economical three for 21, while Pollock also claimed three wickets for 43.

Gault was the last man out with the total on 201, completing a convincing win for Burndennett with Barr's brilliant century providing the decisive contribution as the Tyrone side ended the campaign on a high.

It hasn't been a season to remember for Eglinton, but they have given young players an opportunity in recent weeks that will hold them in good stead in the years to come.
