Brigade brought the curtain down on a disappointing campaign on a positive note with a four-wicket victory over Fox Lodge.

The Ballymagorry side were dismissed for 185, with Alastair Doherty and Gayan Maneeshan both passing fifty.

Doherty made 52 from 63 balls, striking four fours and two sixes, while Maneeshan compiled a patient 54 from 98 deliveries.

Jonny Robinson and Jamie McIntyre both chipped in with 18, but Brigade kept things under control throughout, led by Gavin Roulston who claimed four for 40 from his 10 overs.

David Barr took two for 30, while Trent McKeegan, Scott Macbeth, Iftikhar Hussain and Andy Britton all picked up a wicket apiece.

Brigade made light work of the chase thanks largely to an unbeaten 84 from Barr, who struck 10 fours and a six in his 109-ball innings.

Roulston gave the pursuit early momentum with 39 from just 22 deliveries, including three fours and three sixes, before Scott Macbeth added a brisk 29 from 17 balls.

Fox Lodge threatened briefly as skipper Jonny Robinson and Aaron Heywood claimed two wickets each, but Barr remained composed throughout.

Ryan Macbeth was unbeaten on seven alongside him as Brigade reached their target in the 35th over to finish their season with a welcome victory. I'd expect major surgery on the Beechgrove side over the close season who are clearly in need of a refresh.
