Ardmore produced a devastating all-round display to crush Killyclooney by 214 runs, powered by a magnificent century from Bobby Brolly and a seven-wicket haul from Sabin Babu.

Batting first, Ardmore piled up an imposing 361 for seven from their 50 overs after recovering from 49 for two.

Brolly was the dominant figure, striking a superb 156 from 146 balls with 11 fours and 13 sixes. He shared a match-defining third-wicket stand of 156 with Babu, who struck 17 boundaries in an excellent 86 from 82 deliveries.

Aneesh Anilkumar added 16 before Edrees Kharotai provided a spectacular late flourish, smashing six sixes in an unbeaten 39 from just 12 balls.

Jason Wallace, Alfie Moan and Kyle Armstrong claimed two wickets apiece for Killyclooney, but they were unable to contain Ardmore’s relentless scoring.

Faced with a daunting target of 362, Killyclooney never threatened to mount a serious chase.

Alfie Moan top-scored with 36 from 60 balls, while his dad Giles made 25 and Alan Nicholl 16, but Babu ripped through the middle and lower order.

The Ardmore all-rounder followed his 86 with outstanding figures of seven for 22, as Killyclooney collapsed from 94 for three to 118 for eight.

Ehsanullah Sahak then claimed the final two wickets as Killyclooney were dismissed for 147.

It completed a remarkable personal performance from Babu, while Brolly’s commanding century ensured Ardmore had effectively taken the contest away long before the chase began.
