Bready eased their relegation play-off fears with a crushing ten-wicket victory over Fox Lodge at Ballymagorry, a result which effectively ended the hosts’ lingering hopes of forcing their way into the Premiership title race. 

Fox Lodge were never able to recover from a disastrous start after being asked to bat, slumping to 34 for six inside nine overs as replacement professional Anuk Fernando and David Scanlon tore through the top order. 

Fernando, who played previously in the NW at Brigade, marked his Bready appearance with four wickets for 36, while Scanlon claimed three for 15 from six overs. Captain Jonny Robinson attempted to repair the damage with 35 from 27 balls, striking four fours and two sixes, while Swarnim Jha finished unbeaten on 26, but Fox Lodge were dismissed for just 107 before halfway. 

Kenzie Hall polished off the tail with three wickets for 15. 

Bready then made a complete mockery of the target as Hall and Kyle Magee powered them to 108 without loss in only 15 overs. 

Magee struck six fours and two sixes in an unbeaten 57 from 42 balls, while Hall made 41 not out, including six fours and a six. 

The emphatic maximum-points win gave Bready valuable breathing space at the bottom while leaving Fox Lodge’s title challenge in tatters.
