Donemana Under-15s were crowned All-Ireland champions after completing a memorable day with a convincing 30-run victory over Instonians in the final at Phoenix Park.

Having survived a dramatic last-ball semi-final against hosts Phoenix, the Tyrone side showed far greater control in the decider, posting 138 for five from a rain-reduced 19 overs before dismissing Instonians for 108.

Captain Olly Britton led from the front with a superb 77 from 58 balls, striking six fours and a six as he anchored the innings.

Alfie Moan gave Donemana early momentum with a 20-ball 23, while Riley Boyd added 12 as Britton ensured his side reached a competitive total.

Cameron Wilson was the pick of the Instonians attack with two wickets, while Robbie Moore claimed one.

Instonians began their chase brightly through Vidhath Geddam, who struck four boundaries in a rapid 20, but Donemana’s bowlers quickly seized control.

Moan removed Nicholas Shaw and captain David Agnew before Alex Olphert ripped through the middle order in a superb spell. Olphert dismissed Lewis Buchanan, Cameron Wilson, Ethan Walker and Pranav Saran to finish with four for 18 from his four overs.

At 68 for seven, Instonians appeared out of the contest, although Freddie Robinson launched a late counter-attack with 31 from just 18 balls to briefly revive their hopes. Riley Boyd then ensured there would be no dramatic escape, claiming three wickets for 21, including the final two wickets in the 18th over, as Instonians were bowled out for 108.

The triumph capped an extraordinary day for Donemana, who had earlier edged Phoenix by one wicket after scoring the winning runs from the final delivery of their semi-final.

From last-ball drama to a commanding final performance, it was a richly deserved All-Ireland title for a Donemana side that showed skill, resilience and composure when it mattered most.

It's been quite a week for North West sides in the youth finals, with Bonds Glen winning the U13 and U15 girls crown, while Coleraine lost out to Adamstown in the U13 Boys final.

Bready U17 girls are in action on Friday morning against Merrion with the winners facing Holywood in the afternoon.

Donemana will have a chance to go for a double of their own when they make the trek to Munster in the U17 Boys All-Ireland.
