There were more big-hitting exploits in the NCU on Saturday. Last month we had a total of 492 in 35 overs by Donacloney Mill II and six sixes in an over by Ben Caltiz for Lisburn.

Well, Tejas Jadhav went three hits better with NINE sixes  in a row in Junior League 8 for Dunmurry IV, and ironically it was again Donacloney Mill – this time their 3rd XI – who were on the receiving end.

Jadhav replicated Caltiz’s feat with six sixes in an over but followed up by hitting the next three balls he was on strike for three more maximums. He failed to score off the next but hit the final ball of the over for another six to make it 10 in 11 balls! His last three scoring strokes were also sixes.

He came to the wicket at the fall of the third wicket with the total on 92 in the 14th over and was out off the penultimate ball of the 25-over innings for 147. He faced just 45 balls, hitting a total of 18 sixes and six fours and Dunmurry finished on 267 for five.

His captain, Sandip Gite, was his partner in the fourth wicket stand of 173, and he scored 19. Dunmurry IV won the game by 91 runs, with Jadhav taking one for eight from his three overs.
