Bready Women moved to the brink of the North West Premiership title with a maximum-points victory over bottom side St Johnston, maintaining their perfect record of seven wins from seven.

St Johnston were dismissed for just 41 after Shannon Porter fell to Tiara Mitchell from the first ball of the match. Alexa Barr then removed Abbie McKnight and Sarah Macbeth, while a run-out accounted for captain Jessica Brolly.

Leah Roulston top-scored with six, but regular wickets prevented the Donegal side from building any momentum. Abbey Kelly claimed two wickets, while Molly Buchanan also struck before Rodgers polished off the tail with three wickets. 

Bready suffered an immediate setback in reply when Kathryn Rough was run out from the second ball. However, Rachael McSparron and Tiara Mitchell ensured there would be no further alarm.

Rachael struck two fours in an unbeaten 18, while Tiara finished 13 not out as Bready reached their target in the sixth over.

Bready can now secure the title tonight against Coleraine, provided they collect enough bonus points, or complete the job against old rivals Fox Lodge at home next Monday.

Coleraine will be out to spoil the party as they and Bonds Glen can still catch the Magheramason side.

The Bannsiders enjoyed a six wicket win over Eglinton as Kia McCartney took three wickets to help restrict the villagers to 78 for 8.

Amelia Guy then scored 23 and Hannah Skinner an unbeaten 18 as the Bannsiders rejigged their batting on the way to an easy win.

Bonds Glen stayed in the hunt in second place as they won at home to Fox Lodge.

Mollie Devine top-scored with a 30-ball 40 (4 fours, 2 sixes) in the Foxies 95 for 9 - three wickets for Lucy Thompson and two apiece for Stephanie Wilkinson and Rihanna Young.

Emily (30*) and Rihanna Young (26*) then eased the Bee Gees to a seven wicket win as their season continues to impress.
