Cricket Leinster completed a perfect Saturday in the U19 Women’s Interpro T20 series as they followed their morning win with a convincing six-wicket victory over the NCU at Campbell College.

The NCU posted 129 for 6 from their 20 overs, with Lucy Andrews finishing unbeaten on 26 and Josceyln Wright adding 22 not out. A Hayden claimed 2 for 25, while Sinead Thomson picked up 2 for 32 to keep the target within reach.
Leinster’s reply was built around a decisive second-wicket stand of 96 between Izzy McClean and Genevieve Morrissey. McClean continued her excellent form, striking 56 from 37 balls with four fours and three sixes, while Morrissey made a fluent 36, including four boundaries.
Although Nina Moore took 2 for 19, Leinster were always in control, reaching 132 for 4 in just 16 overs to move top of the table.
Earlier, Leinster Women's U19s recorded a convincing 46-run win over the North West at Campbell College.
The platform was laid by a superb opening stand of 108 in 14 overs between Izzy McClean and skipper Aisling Lawlor. McClean was the dominant force, striking 76 from 53 balls with eight fours and three sixes, while Lawlor added a composed 37 that included four boundaries.

Although the North West fought back through Millie Spence’s 3 for 19 and Tiara Mitchell’s 2 for 21, a late burst from Gemma Sargent, who clubbed three sixes in a six-ball 18, lifted Leinster to 160 for 8.
The North West reply never really threatened the target. Jessica Cooke made 24, Leah Thompson 19, Mitchell an unbeaten 17 and Sophie Hamilton 15 not out as they closed on 114 for 7.
