Bonds Glen Girls U13s produced a dominant bowling display to defeat Bready by seven wickets to lift the NW Cup in a low-scoring contest.
Bready were put under immediate pressure as skipper Molly Buchanan was bowled by Gracie Spratt without scoring, setting the tone for a difficult innings. Lucy Rodgers, with 7, offered the best resistance, but wickets tumbled steadily as Bonds Glen kept the pressure on throughout.
Player-of-the-Match Anna Spratt was the chief destroyer, claiming superb figures of 4 for 7 from three overs, including the wickets of Rodgers, Abbey Kelly, C Lowry and Ruby Buchanan. She was well backed by Gracie Spratt, who took 3 for 11, while Sarah Haslett was outstanding with 3 for 3 from two overs as Bready were bowled out for just 27 in 10.5 overs.
Bonds Glen had a brief wobble in reply, slipping to 13 for 3 after Buchanan removed both Gracie and Anna Spratt without scoring. However, Holly McClintock held the chase together with an unbeaten 12, while captain Haslett finished 6 not out.
The pair calmly guided Bonds Glen to 28 for 3 in the 8th to seal a convincing victory.
The young stars will now get the chance to represent the NW in the All-Ireland, defending the title they won so brilliantly last year.
