Leaders Merrion secured a convincing eight-wicket victory over Leinster thanks to an outstanding all-round display from Bella Armstrong.

After being asked to bat, Leinster posted 108-8 from their 20 overs. Tash Richardson top-scored with 28, while Joanna Loughran made 19 and Lauren Torpey finished unbeaten on 16. Armstrong starred with the ball, returning excellent figures of 2-6, while Julianne Morrissey (2-16) and Aisling Lawlor (2-29) also claimed two wickets each.

Merrion's reply was dominated by Armstrong, who struck an unbeaten 56 from just 42 deliveries, including seven fours and a six. She shared an opening partnership of 63 with Annabel Squires, who contributed 13, before adding a further 39 for the second wicket alongside Lawlor, who made 15.

Armstrong remained at the crease to guide Merrion to 109-2 in just the 13th over, completing an emphatic win and underlining her match-winning contribution with both bat and ball.

Clontarf cruised to an emphatic 81-run victory over The Hills after posting an imposing 186-2 from their 20 overs. The innings was built around a superb second-wicket partnership of 162 between opener Robyn Searle and Susan Lawless.

Searle fell agonisingly short of a century - run out in the final over, after making 97 from 61 balls with eight fours and a six, while Lawless finished unbeaten on 43.

The Hills never seriously threatened the target, with only Eve Meachen offering resistance with a 37-ball 43. Annabel Walsh claimed 2-21 as Clontarf completed a comfortable win.

Balbriggan edged a closely fought Leinster Women's Premiership clash by eight runs after posting 132-5 against Phoenix. Courtney Gounden anchored the innings with an excellent 56 from 53 balls, including two fours and a six, sharing a decisive third-wicket stand of 70 with Lara Maritz, who made 24.

Phoenix replied with 124-6. Zara Craig's 23 came from 42 deliveries, increasing the required rate, while Darcey Dalwood struck an unbeaten 51 from 44 balls but fell just short. Erin Bond starred for Balbriggan with two wickets, while the fielding unit had three run-outs.

Pembroke emerged victorious by 13 runs after an evenly contested encounter with Rush.

Pembroke posted 137-8 from their 20 overs, with Izzy McLean making 29, Susie Whaley finishing unbeaten on 28 and Marama Downes contributing 23. Mabel O'Donohoe starred with the ball for Rush, taking 4-32, while Elizabeth Cohr claimed 2-19.

Rush's reply was carried by Cate Pedersen, whose unbeaten 58 from 45 balls included six fours. However, she lacked support as wickets fell around her, with Mhairi Nicholl (3-28), Anna Beale (2-24) and Kimli McDonald (2-29) guiding Pembroke to victory.
