Alice Tector has been called into the Ireland squad for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup to be held in England starting next month after Laura Delany was forced to withdraw due to injury.

Tector, 18, has five caps for Ireland having debuted in 2024. The younger sister of Ireland Men’s internationals Harry and Tim, Alice is an all-rounder of great promise who plays club cricket at Phoenix Cricket Club.
Graeme West, Director of High Performance at Cricket Ireland said:
“We are all devastated for Laura – she’s one of the toughest competitors that has ever played for Ireland Women and we wish her well with her recovery. Alice herself has had to deal with injuries over the last 12 months, but has shown a great temperament since returning to play in 2026.”
