The local cricket season gets underway on Saturday but only two of the originally scheduled eight senior games will go ahead after the North West gave clubs the option to postpone in order to give their grounds more time to prepare.

In the Premiership, Bready take on Strabane in a Tyrone Derby with Ryan Clarke the new skipper at Magheramason. He will be without the services of former skipper Ian Young who has moved to Eglinton, while Irish international Conor Olphert switched to St Johnston yesterday.

Strabane will be missing John Mooney who has a coaching role at the Indian Premier League.

There's one game in the Championship, with Glendermott taking on Letterkenny.

It's a historic occasion for both sides with the Waterside club celebrating their centenary this year while it's a first appearance in senior cricket for Letterkenny.

Action in both games gets underway at 12 o'clock.
