There's a change of leadership at Bready with Ryan Clarke taking over the reins from Ian Young, while David Rankin will offer support as his experienced deputy.

"We’re all really looking forward to the new season ahead," Clarke told CricketEurope.

"It was a fairly busy off-season, with Gavin and Mark moving on, and Kenzie, Matthew and Charlie coming in. The new signings have bonded really well with the group straight away, and I’m excited to see them perform this year.

"Unfortunately, Ian Young has stepped down as captain this year. I’ve learned a lot from him personally over the past two years while serving as his vice-captain and it’s been a real pleasure, and I’m sure the things I’ve picked up will help massively as I take on the role myself.

"It’s something I’ve always aimed to do for Bready, so I’m very excited personally. I’m also glad to have a great person to learn from in David Rankin, who’s back in the vice-captain role.

"The young players mentioned above keep getting older and keep getting better, and I’m definitely excited to see how far they can push on this season and in the years ahead.

"Our overseas player is Josh again, who really gelled well with the group last year and is a huge benefit to the entire squad (especially the younger players) to learn from.

"Overall, I can’t wait to get going this year, and I’m sure I speak for the rest of the squad as well. We’ve got a really strong group, and I’m confident we won’t be far away from picking up some silverware by the end of the summer."

It promises to be an exciting season for Bready who if they can hit the ground running will certainly offer a tough challenge to the 'big three'.
