IRELAND have confirmed a maiden first Test against New Zealand will be held in Belfast from May 27th to 30th.

World champions India will also be in at Stormont playing two T20 internationals the following month on June 26th and 28th.

Staying in the North, Afghanistan will be arriving for a five-match ODI series with the first two games at Bready on August 5th and 7th, followed by a further three at Stormont on August 10th, 12th and 14th.

There are at present no senior men's fixtures scheduled for Dublin, with Malahide due to host the EPLT20 in late August and September.

There's no mention of the FTP scheduled series against Bangladesh, which appears to have been shelved as a cost cutting initiative.

While the summer appears to be barren, there are signs that a busier programme looks in store with long-term agreements reached with Nepal and UAE for white-ball series, training camps and participation for players in their flagship T20 events.

Ireland are also penciled in to face Pakistan in a multi-format tour next January, with the possibility of another nation being added. They are also planned to face Afghanistan in the UAE in another multi=format tour.

Ireland Wolves barren fixture list will be ended by a proposed tour to Zimbabwe in October.

Looking further ahead, England have agreed a three-match T20I series at the planned new stadium in 2029, while the governing body hope to start a new competition next year, the Euro Nations Cup for both men and women's countries.

Ireland are also expected to be competing in ODI World Cup and Olympic qualifying tournaments next summer.
