Craig Averill is returning to Glendermott for the forthcoming season.

The all-rounder had been plying his trade with Carrickfergus in the NCU since 2022, but returned to his old North West stomping ground in 2025, playing at Coleraine.

Averill has a wealth of experience at senior level over the past 15 years, playing top flight cricket locally with Eglinton (twice), Ballyspallen, Coleraine (twice)- where he won a league title - and Glendermott.

A former Irish youth international, he has also represented the NW Warriors at interprovincial level.

Glendermott captain Trevor Britton welcomed Averill's arrival.

"We are delighted that Craig has decided to join the  club.

"He has undoubted quality and will add depth to our squad as we look to push on to make  promotion back to Premiership cricket where this club want to be."
