Leinster have confirmed the signing of NZ born Thomas O'Connor for the 2026 season as their overseas player.

Thomas (21) from Alexandra, NZ, is a bowling all-rounder - a left-arm seamer, and a right-hand middle-order batter.

He has played for Otago Volts in two first-class and List-A matches and he has also represented the NZ Development XI against the West Indies late last year.

Thomas is the son of former New Zealand international Shayne O'Connor who played 19 Tests and 38 ODI's. 

He is sure to be a useful asset for the Rathmines side this campaign.
