Gavin Roulston has joined Brigade from Bready ahead of the start of the 2026 season.

The former Irish Under-19 international's arrival at Beechgrove is a welcome boost for the Premiership champions who have lost Mark Hanna and Josh Wilson to Newbuildings, as well as Cameron Melly who has opted to play in England this year.

Roulston spent five years at Bready, having joined them as a 14-year-old, helping him win the 2021 Premiership.

"I'm really excited about the new challenge." said the 19-year-old.

"I feel the timing is right for me at this stage of my career. I’ve learned a lot over the last five seasons at Bready and this move gives me a fresh opportunity to apply that experience in a new environment.

"My focus is on continuing to develop my game. Brigade has a strong set-up with great people around it, which I think will help me improve as a cricketer.

"I want to say a big thank you to Bready and my teammates. I’ve made some great memories there and it played a big role in my development as a cricketer."

Brigade are also hoping to have opening bowler Trent McKeegan in their ranks for the season that begins at the end of April.
