Bonds Glen moved top of the table with a crucial two-wicket win over promotion rivals Glendermott in a tense finish.

Glendermott were bowled out for 184 in 43.2 overs after failing to fully capitalise on several starts. Craig Averill top-scored with 47, while skipper Ted Britton made 35 and Alan Lynch added 23, but Bonds Glen kept chipping away. Heinrich Roberts took 3 for 22 and Sam Kincaid produced a miserly 3 for 19 from his ten overs.
The chase was in trouble early as Bonds Glen slipped to 29 for three, but Danie Rossouw again showed why he has been the division’s standout batter. His 81, featuring eight fours and two sixes, took his season tally to 787 runs and anchored the innings.
Rossouw shared a decisive 93-run fifth-wicket stand with Stephen McGowan, whose 47 proved equally important. Glendermott fought back through Alan Johnson’s 4 for 40, removing McGowan, Adam Thompson and threatening a late twist.
However, Sam Kincaid and Mark Robinson held their nerves in difficult circumstances, guiding Bonds Glen home sealing a potentially defining victory in the title race.
You suspect there could be a few twists and turns along the way.
Burndennett eased to a six-wicket win over Letterkenny to move above the Donegal side at the foot of the table.
Letterkenny were bowled out for 173 in 43 overs after struggling to build sustained momentum. Varun Tiwari top-scored with 37, while Pranav Namdev Chavan made 25 and Raghuveer Velagapudi added an unbeaten 23 late on. Vamsi Krishna Dasari chipped in with 18, but wickets fell regularly as the Tyrone side kept control.
Corey Roulston was the pick of the attack with 3 for 51, while Usman Azhar impressed with 2 for 14 from six overs. Eddie McGettigan also claimed 2 for 27, with Andrew Barr and Saghir taking one wicket apiece.
Burndennett’s reply was assured despite an early setback. Opener Marty Mehaffey struck 40 and Corey Roulston added 15 before skipper Andrew Barr made a valuable 39 to keep the chase on course.
The decisive hand came from Ryan Barr, who finished unbeaten on 54, steering the hosts home alongside Azhar, who made 11 not out, as Burndennett sealed victory with plenty to spare claiming their first league win of the season.
