Bonds Glen pair Danie Rossouw and William McClintock are dominating the Championship batting charts after a remarkable run of form that has put them well clear of the chasing pack.

Rossouw leads the aggregate table with 706 runs from nine innings at an average of 78.44, scoring at a blistering strike rate of 151.5. His campaign has included five half-centuries and three hundreds, with a highest score of 193. With 70 fours and 36 sixes, he has been both prolific and destructive.
Yet even those numbers are almost matched — and in some areas eclipsed — by team-mate McClintock, who has made 702 runs in just seven innings at a staggering average of 100.29. His strike rate of 202.3 is extraordinary, while his 74 sixes are comfortably the most on the list. An Irish record 339 stands out as the biggest individual innings of the Championship season so far, and indeed any season anywhere in Ireland!
Ballyspallen’s Hassan Shahid is next in the standings with 583 runs at 64.78, including an unbeaten 156, while Glendermott’s Craig Averill has been similarly consistent with 535 runs at 59.44.
Ardmore’s Kasun Aberaytne has also passed 500, making 522 at 52.20, with two centuries, while Glendermott’s Blayde Capell has provided fireworks of his own. Capell’s 483 runs have come at a strike rate of 141.6, with a best of 202 and 28 sixes.
Eglinton are strongly represented, led by Andy Millar with 454 runs, while Dunith Jayathunga has added 427, including a century. Jamie Millar has been especially impressive, averaging 105.00 from eight innings with 420 runs, four fifties and a hundred.
Killyclooney’s Keenan Vieira remains a key figure too, compiling 426 runs with a century and four fifties, while Ballyspallen’s depth is reflected by Raveen Yasas, Graham Kennedy and Pushpender Singh all featuring among the leading names.
Glendermott also have Ben Mills in the mix, with 446 runs at a strike rate of 133.5, giving them three players in the top eight.
But the story of the table is unquestionably Bonds Glen’s explosive one-two punch. Rossouw leads for volume, McClintock for average, strike rate and six-hitting, and between them they have reshaped the Championship batting race.
