FOX ON THE RUN
Few clubs have made a bigger impression on the North West season than Fox Lodge, and all-rounder Jason Milligan believes the team's remarkable rise is no accident.

Having stepped up to compete against the region's strongest sides, Fox Lodge have not simply held their own — they have emerged as genuine contenders. The Tyrone club find themselves firmly in the title conversation, while also reaching the semi-finals of two senior cup competitions, ensuring that what was already shaping up to be a memorable campaign could yet become historic.
At the heart of their success has been Milligan, whose consistency with both bat and ball has made him one of the standout performers in the league. The talented all-rounder has amassed 314 runs at an outstanding average of 78.50 and produced two match-winning innings over the weekend against Bready, following up an unbeaten 92 with a classy 80 as Fox Lodge secured back-to-back victories.
For Milligan, however, the team's success has come as a reward for months of preparation and commitment.
"Yes, we have had an excellent start to the season so far," he said.
"We knew as a group before the season started that it was going to be a completely different test playing against really good teams week in, week out. But it's the games as a team you want to be involved in and playing in the top league I always believe can bring the best out in players."
Fox Lodge earned promotion after years of steady progress and have embraced the challenge of facing established top-flight opposition. Rather than being intimidated by the step up, they have thrived.
"We worked really hard off-season and have continued that work throughout the season so far and it has been paying off," Milligan added.
The all-rounder's own performances have reflected the confidence running through the side. Whether anchoring an innings, accelerating the scoring rate or contributing key overs with the ball, he has become one of the club's most influential figures.
"On a personal level it has been a really good season so far, scoring runs and contributing with the ball also. I'm very happy with how it has been going and feel very comfortable in my game at the minute.
"The vibe in the team is great, which is really important, and obviously as long as the team wins that's the main thing."
That team-first mentality has been a hallmark of Fox Lodge's season. Different players have stepped up at crucial moments, creating a strong dressing-room culture and a belief that they can compete with anyone.
The latest success came during a huge weekend for the club. Victory secured a place in another senior cup semi-final, keeping alive hopes of silverware, before a vital league win strengthened their position near the top of the standings.
"The weekend past for us was massive," said Milligan. "To get the chance at another senior cup semi-final and a potential chance to reach another final is really exciting.
"Whoever we face in the semi-final we will prepare as normal, stick to our disciplines and give it a real good go."
While supporters are beginning to dream about trophies and title challenges, Milligan insists the squad remains grounded.
"To go out then on Sunday and get another win in the league was huge and leaves us sitting well in the league also.
"There's still a long way to go in the season, but we are really happy as a group with the place we are in now and hopefully that continues."
With confidence high, key players in form and major prizes still within reach, Fox Lodge's impressive journey shows no sign of slowing down.
