Denmark are hosting a T20 World Cup pathway tournament in a couple of weeks, and their preparation for that tournament began on Thursday with the first game of a four match series against neighbours Germany in Brondby.

Batting first in the opening game, Denmark scored 116-9 from their 20 overs. Germany then chased down their target with one ball to spare to win by 2 wickets, captain Musaddiq Ahmed top scoring with 38.

The second game on Friday was a much higher scoring contest, with Germany batting first and scoring 187-7, Harmanjot Singh's unbeaten 79 their top score. Denmark's experienced captain Hamid Shah then smashed 83 from only 38 balls, assisted by Sebastian Heath's unbeaten 61 from 34 balls as Denmark secured a seven wicket win with five balls to spare to square the series.
