BEYOND THE SENIOR WORLD NORTH WEST

LEAGUE ONE

There was a full programme down the leagues with Brigade newbies William Finlay and Trent McKeegan making an impression in their 170-run win at Drummond.

Finlay hit 8 fours and 3 sixes as he top-scored with 75, sharing a second wicket stand of 118 with Mo Hussain (59) in a Brigade total of 249 for 6.

There were runs too for skipper Jack Hall (21) and Trent McKeegan (20*), while Andy Doey picked up four wickets.

Michael Lynch made 30 in the reply out of a disappointing 79 - three wickets each for McKeegan and Nick Gray, plus two for Jamie Millar.

Ardmore won a low scoring game at the Green, with Vivek Sheoran's 35 the best of their 127 all out. 

Ryan McClintock took four wickets and Chris Neely two.

It proved enough as leg-spinner Matt Cuffe took four wickets, after early inroads from Mujeeb Rehman, while George Dalton (3-11) sealed the 27-run win.

Fox Lodge were the highest scorers of the day as they piled up 279 for 7 against Maghera.

Luke Hayes hit 5 sixes in a rapid 50, while there were also half centuries for Ivan McNeill (75) and Johnny Heywood (58) who added 148 for the fourth wicket.

Maghera set about the chase with relish though as Anu Sanjeewa hit 12 fours and a six in a quickfire 68, adding 94 for the first wicket with Denton Cant (31). Sam Dougherty chipped in with 33 and Graham Love made 27, but scorecard pressure told as Jordan Cochrane (4-36), Ivan McNeill (2-16) and Josh Marshall (2-48) sealed the 65-run win.

It was the Yasser Shafi show for North Fermanagh against Bready as he followed up a top score of 35 to claim a six wicket haul.

Fermanagh posted 176 with Aaron Cooke and James McDermott taking three scalps apiece.

McDermott, Bobby Stott, and Adam Warnock got 20s in the chase but Shafi took 6-28 to seal a deserved 32-run win.

LEAGUE TWO

Sion Mills got off to a winning start against Killyclooney in an entertaining contest at The Holm.

Alfie Moan showed his pedigree as he carried his bat for a century in Killyclooney's total of 217.
 
Rian McKelvey led the chase with a brilliant 92, while overseas player Louis Botha shook off jetlag to hit an unbeaten 46, sealing the win with a last over six.

Coleraine beat Bready in another high scoring game. 

The Tyrone side were helped by 67 extras including an incredible 65 wides as they posted 216 for 9 - 20s for Andrew Fleming, Karthik Shukla, Jordan McCorkell, Phil Robinson, and Sam Loughlin.

Ali Handforth took three wickets, while there were two each for Dawood Khan and Tim Hamilton.

Ahmed Raza thumped five sixes in a rapid 42, adding 82 in eight overs with Matty Smyth to break the back of the chase. Smyth went on to top score with 83 (12 fours, 1 six), while 40 bowling extras also helped as they won by four wickets - Harry Nutt making 31 too (6 fours).

LEAGUE THREE

Eglinton were 9 wicket winners over Donemana after they bowled the Tyrone side out for just 100 despite Adam Kelly hitting 6 sixes and 2 fours in a 24-ball 47.

The wickets were shared primarily by Kyle Lamrock (4-24), Tom Spratt (3-22), and Callum Smith (2-0).

A second wicket unbroken stand of 68 between Stephen Nelis 45* (4 fours, 4 sixes), and Harry Coyle 35* (7 fours) saw the villagers race to victory.

Newbuildings were also convincing winners at Strabane. 

Jason Bell (48), Matthew Irwin (44), Adam Allen (29), and Sam McClintock (25) were all in the runs as they posted 201 for 6 - three wickets each for Narendra and Zach Leathert.

Strabane's reply saw Oliver Dunn take five wickets as they were bowled out for 119. Michael Gillespie's 24 not out was the top score and included a bit of a collectors item - a six!

Lewis Campbell (3-29) was also among the wickets in the 82-run win.

LEAGUE FOUR

There was just the one Saturday game in League four as Ballyspallen beat Maghera by 72 runs.

Michael O'Brien got the Spallen innings off to a flier, clearing the ropes four times in a 30-ball 46, while there were runs too for Noah McNerlin (43*), Luke Gilfillan (31) and Ross Bond (29*) in a total of 196 for 6.

Rathan Thapliyal took three wickets for Maghera and followed that up with a top score of 48.

It wasn't near enough as Maghera were bowled out for 124 - the wickets shared between William Mclaughlin, Michael O'Brien and Jacob Blair.
