Before this weekend there had only been two previous centuries by associate member players against full members at the Under-19 World Cup. Japan's Hugo Kelly joined the club - which includes Eoin Morgan amongst its number - yesterday, and today we got our fourth member in the shape of USA's Nitish Sudini.
Coming into bat with the score on 40-5 and USA firmly on the back foot, he added 57 for the sixth wicket with Shiv Shani (33) and 103 for the seventh wicket with Adit Kappa, who scored 40.

Nitish Sudini celebrates his century (ICC)
He stayed in until the end of the innings, finishing unbeaten on 117 from 133 balls for USA's first Under-19 World Cup century.
New Zealand scored 12 from what proved to be the only over of their innings before the rain came. The rain did stop but the groundstaff were unable to get the outfield dry enough to allow play to resume.
Given where USA were in their innings when Sudini came in, it seems likely that he saved a point for USA, as they were facing defeat in pretty short order.
USA's final group game will be against Bangladesh on Friday, whilst New Zealand will next be in action on Tuesday against the same opponents.
