It was a solid campaign for Bonds Glen who had some good wins on their way to fifth place in the Championship and the cups.

There's no doubt though that the highlight of the year for the Bee Gees came with the displays of their Under 13 Girls side who followed up their success in the North West by claiming the All-Ireland crown. A remarkable achievement for the Kildoag Road side.

South African overseas professional Divan Posthumus led the way in the run scoring charts as he plundered 892 runs at 52.47 (4 fifties, 3 hundreds), while Ireland Under 19 international Sam Haslett was second making a very respecatable 527 runs at 23.95 (3 fifties).

Johnny Haslett weighed in with 432 runs at 24.00 , while Dharm Singh will have been disappointed with a return of 321 at just over 13.

There weren't many other signifcant contributions with nobody else passing 200 - next best were David Robinson (164), John Long (128), Sam Kincaid (104) and Adam Thompson (102).

With the ball, Dharm Singh was the stand-out performer as he claimed an impressive 37 wickets at 13.46, ahead of Divan Posthumus, whose 25 wickets came at 16.04.

Kyle Moore (19 at 22.68) and Sam Kincaid (19 at 35.58) almost made the 20 wicket mark, while Mark Robinson (17 at 34.41) and Sam Haslett (13 at 37.62) also had their moments.

There aren't many grounds that can match the views at Bonds Glen, and with facilities improving year-on-year the club is a good place. Their formula of investment in youth and facilities is certainly paying off and augurs well for the future.
