Papua New Guinea 205 (48.2 overs; K Doriga 68, P Nou 40, S Bau 34, D Ravu 25*; S Anand 3-36, S Zeb 2-25)
Danish skipper Hamid Shah leading the way with a half century after they elected to bat first and his good work carried on by Lucky Ali. Not much else forthcoming for the Danes as wickets fell, Alei Nao claiming three, Michael Charlie two with one each for Sese Bau and John Kariko. Shakeel Zeb with the big wickets of Sese Bau and Assad Vala as PNG struggle to make headway in the chase, 79-4 at the halfway stage with 145 more needed. Kipling Doriga and Patrick Nou add 85 of those to keep PNG hopes alive before Nou chips tamely to mid off. 40 required off the final 5 overs but just 3 wickets in hand. Singles not enough and a couple of catches in the deep off Surya Anand sees the Barramundis fall 19 runs short.

Farmers, 21 August.
Kenya 115 (36.1 overs; R Patel 34, S Bhudia 30; J Lawrenson 4-25, N Greenwood 3-20, C Perchard 2-23)

Peter Langat is bowled by Josh Lawrenson (ICC.tv)
The Jersey Boys keeping the once mighty Kenya under strict control in the opening overs, captain Charles Perchard with the breakthrough in his first over. A real struggle for Kenya, off-spinner Josh Lawrenson removing the middle order and Nick Greenwood picking up the rest. Jersey lose a wicket in the first over of the chase, a loose waft outside off sees Greenwood drag his first delivery back onto the stumps and Lawrenson follows also without scoring and Carlyon survives a simple drop at extra cover, a nervy start from the hosts! And no third life for Carlyon as he chips tamely to mid on - three for Nelson Odhiambo. A half century partnership between Zac Tribe and Jonty Jenner steadied the ship and they made it a century with the winning run.
World Cup Challenge League A
Kuwait beat Qatar by 22 runs.
Grainville, 21 August.
Kuwait 299-7 (50 overs; M Bhavsar 129, A Zaheer 99; M Murad 2-57)
Qatar 277-9 (50 overs; M Asim 94, M Tanveer 61, I Liyanage 54; M Shafeeq 3-47, A Chenthamara 2-52)
Good call by the umpire sees Mohammad Amin run out first ball (ICC.tv)
A massive 181 run fourth wicket partnership between Ali Zaheer and Meet Bhavsar ended when Zaheer skied Maria-Louis to mid off on 99. Theirs the only two scores past 20 in the innings - but 300 a huge ask for Qatar who had their own fourth wicket stand of 95 between Muhammad Asim and Muhammad Tanvir. Still in there fighting with ten overs to go and 70 required but Asim out for 94 sets back their cause in a big way and eight an over for the last six was too big a task for the tail. Qatar were never ahead in the chase but a couple more overs of the Tanveer / Asim partnership might have made all the difference.
