World Cup Challenge League A
Denmark beat Papua New Guinea by 18 runs.

Grainville, 22 August.

Danish skipper Hamid Shah leading the way with a half century after they elected to bat first and his good work carried on by Lucky Ali. Not much else forthcoming for the Danes as wickets fell, Alei Nao claiming three, Michael Charlie two with one each for Sese Bau and John Kariko. Shakeel Zeb with the big wickets of Sese Bau and Assad Vala as PNG struggle to make headway in the chase, 79-4 at the halfway stage with 145 more needed. Kipling Doriga and Patrick Nou add 85 of those to keep PNG hopes alive before Nou chips tamely to mid off. 40 required off the final 5 overs but just 3 wickets in hand. Singles not enough and a couple of catches in the deep off Surya Anand sees the Barramundi fall 19 runs short.

World Cup Challenge League A
Jersey beat Kenya by 7 wickets.

Farmers, 21 August.

The Jersey Boys keeping the once mighty Kenya under strict control in the opening overs, captain Charles Perchard with the breakthrough in his first over. A real struggle for Kenya, off-spinner Josh Lawrenson removing the middle order and Nick Greenwood picking up the rest. Jersey lose a wicket in the first over of the chase, a loose waft outside off sees Greenwood drag his first delivery back onto the stumps and Lawrenson follows also without scoring and Carlyon survives a simple drop at extra cover, a nervy start from the hosts! And no third life for Carlyon as he chips tamely to mid on - three for Nelson Odhiambo. A half century partnership between Zac Tribe and Jonty Jenner steadied the ship and they made it a century with the winning run.
World Cup Challenge League A
Kuwait beat Qatar by 22 runs.

Grainville, 21 August.

A massive 181 run fourth wicket partnership between Ali Zaheer and Meet Bhavsar ended when Zaheer skied Maria-Louis to mid off on 99. Theirs the only two scores past 20 in the innings - but 300 a huge ask for Qatar who had their own fourth wicket stand of 95 between Muhammad Asim and Muhammad Tanvir. Still in there fighting with ten overs to go and 70 required but Asim out for 94 sets back their cause in a big way and eight an over for the last six was too big a task for the tail. Qatar were never ahead in the chase but a couple more overs of the Tanveer / Asim partnership might have made all the difference.

Hazelaarweg, Rotterdam, 20 August.

Women's T20 World Cup Euro Qualifier

Jersey beat Sweden by 5 wickets.
Lochside Park, Forfar, 6 August.

Abhiunav Ravuri a lone figure holding up Jersey as Sweden struggled to make any impression on the scoreboard - turgid stuff and Jersey will expect no problems in chasing down a low total. But, that wasn't how it panned out initially as the Channel Islanders slumped to 62 for 5 despite Jack Kemp's 37. Their nerves were soothed though by an unbroken sixth wicket stand of 56 between Ben Heelis 36* (5 fours) and Barney Ashton (17*) as they clinched a five-wicket win to finish the competition on a high note.
Denmark beat Guernsey by 35 runs.
Arbroath, 6 August.

Lots of starts in the Danish side but no one going on to a big score and it was Senuja Withanachchi batting at number eight that ensured they passed the two hundred mark. Casper le Ray with a five-for the highlight of the Islanders' spell in the field. Denmark were always in control and sealed a 35-run win thanks to four wickets from Senuja Withanachchi. Ed Robinson's 49 the best of the Guernsey batters.
Scotland beat Netherlands by 20 runs.
Forthill, Dundee, 6 August.

Scotland put in to bat in the 'Big Yin' - a place in the U19 World Cup Finals going to the winners. The Scots will be disappointed with their final total as they lost their way mid innings after a solid opening platform had been established. Cedric de Lange claiming four wickets with his innocuous looking off spin. The chase ebbed and flowed throughout with a fourth wicket stand of 73 between Tom De Leede (67) and Teun Kloppenburg (38) getting the Dutch back into it after they fell to 35 for 3 with early wickets for Finlay Jones. Manu Saraswat looked to have won it with vital wickets but Aadit Jain (28*) gave his side late hope. In the end, Jones took his fourth wicket to clinch a 20-run win amidst great scenes. It's Scotland who claim the golden ticket of a World Cup berth and the Dutch 25-year drought continues.

Sweden beat Guernsey by 2 wickets.
Arbroath, 1 August.

Guernsey not quite able to get past the two hundred mark despite a number of their batters getting a start. It may well be enough as the Swedes are finding the going tough in the early stages of their chase. Ashutosh Samal just about kept the Swedes in it, top scoring as he did yesterday but he fell to Harry Johnson who then claimed a second in the over. A heroic ninth wicket stand between Advait Dhabe and skipper Muhammad Khattak got it down to twenty required off the final two overs and ten off the last. Only four deliveries required as Sweden claimed the win the partnership worth 55.
Netherlands beat Denmark by 9 wickets.
Lochside Park, Forfar, 1 August.

A second win for the Netherlands and a second defeat for Denmark. Five wickets for Alejo Nota and three for Aaditt Jain as Denmark were asked to bat first and were hustled out for just 78. After Victor Wiesmeier went without scoring Cedric de Lange and Shirsak Banerjee knocked off the runs required finishing unbeaten, as indeed they did in yesterday's game.
Netherlands beat Guernsey by 9 wickets (DLS)
Forthill, Dundee, 31 July.

A stop-start affair as rain caused multiple stoppages with Guernsey unable to make much headway against the Dutch bowlers. Aaditt Jain with four wickets and Steele Grooteman three as the Channel Islanders struggled to post 103. No problems for the Dutch who chased the modest target down in just over twelve overs. Cedric de Lange (43*) and Shirsak Banerjee (15*) with the runs while Harry Johnson was the sole wicket taker for Guernsey.
Sweden lost to Scotland by 8 wickets (DLS)
Arbroath, 31 July.

Five wickets for Finlay Jones and two each for George Cutler and Ethan Ramsay as Sweden were bowled out for just 154.A brisk start to the chase by Ollie Pillinger whose 43 came off just 32 deliveries (8x4) and an unbroken century partnership for the third wicket between Manu Saraswat and Rory Grant saw the hosts home in quick time.
Jersey beat Denmark by 100 runs (DLS)
Lochside Park, Forfar, 31 July.

A 183 run second wicket partnership between Jack Kemp and Beau Gurner set the Jersey Boys on their way to an impressive first innings total. Theo Pullman with three quick wickets put the Danes firmly on the back foot with only Mustakim Aslam providing any resistance to the Islanders. Sanuja Withanachchi's 18 the only other double figure score in the Swedish card.
