Clontarf beat Merrion by 3 runs

Merrion 134-6 (20 overs; C Raack 33, R Stokell 28, A Brennan 20*; F Sargent 3-20, S Thomson 2-27)
Clontarf edged out Merrion by three runs in an exciting game at Castle Avenue. Irish international Christina Coulter-Reilly and Freya Sargent set up the win with an opening stand of 123 in a home side total of 137 for 2. CCR top-scored with 66 from 53 balls (10 fours), while Sargent hit five boundaries in her unbeaten 56. Celeste Raack (33), Rebecca Stokell (28) and Aoife Brennan (20*) got Merrion close, but Sargent's all-round excellent game saw her take three wickets , while left-armer Sinead Thomson collected two in the narrow win.

Pembroke beat Rush by 59 runs

Pembroke 172-3 (20 overs; M Waldron 60, S Forbes 59; A Ramnathaphur 2-39)
Rush 113-8 (20 overs; O Bartlett 25, A Beggs 25; A Beale 2-14, K McDonald 2-19, I Mclean 2-19)
It was a similar story at Sydney Parade where Pembroke beat Rush by 59 runs thanks to a century opening stand. Irish internationals past and present Mary Waldron (60) and Sarah Forbes (59) both hit seven boundaries in an opening stand of 128 that set Pembroke on their way to a total of 172 for 3. Rush openers Ocean bartlett and Aoife Beggs both made 25 in the chase as they put on 49, but the Rush reply petered out thereafter. There were two wickets apiece for Anna Beale, Kimli McDonald and Izzy McLean in the comfortable win.

Rathmines, 31 July.
Leinster 189-2 (20 overs; K Bell 96*, J Loughran 28; Nevedha Saravanarajan 2-39)
Phoenix 63-4 (15 overs; J Sparrow 2-9)
Karina Bell powered Leinster to a commanding win at home to Phoenix. bell hit 13 fours and a six in her unbeaten 96, sharing stands of 53 with Rebecca Rolfe (15) and 105 with Joanna Loughran (28) in a total of 189 for 2. Sophie MacMahon also enjoyed a brief cameo hitting four boundaries in her 7-ball 18 not out. Phoenix were never in contention thanks to a fine spell of bowling from Jenny Sparrow (2-9).

Balbriggan beat The Hills by 45 runs

Winners Merrion (Deryck Vincent)
Leah Paul starred with the bat and ball as Merrion proved too strong for hosts Pembroke. The Irish international top-scored with an unbeaten 97 and followed that up by removing the openers in a Player of the Match display.
Semi-final: Balbriggan lost to Merrion by 126 runs.

Balbriggan 84 (18.2 overs; E Marsh 25; A Brennan 2-2, V Hayes 2-4, L Paul 2-4, A Manoj 2-8, B Armstrong 2-17)
A third wicket stand of 108 in 50 balls between Irish internationals Leah Paul and Rebecca Stokell was the catalyst for Merrion's 126-run win at Balbriggan. Paul hit 11 fours in a whirlwind 62 from 31 balls, while Stokell was no slouch either on her way to 41 off 31 deliveries (4 fours). Aisling Lawlor (25*) and Ally Boucher (22*) then added an unbroken 53 in five overs to take Merrion to a total of 210 for 4. The chase never got going as Ella Marsh's 25 was the best of Balbriggan's 84 all out. The wickets were shared with two apiece for Aoife Brennan, Victoria Hayes, Leah Paul, Ashwi Manoj and Bella Armstrong.
Semi-final: Pembroke beat Malahide by 49 runs.

Malahide 123/6 (20 overs; A Kelly 25, A Kerrison 25)
A second wicket stand of 86 in 9 overs between Irish internationals Louise Little and Orla Prendergast propelled Pembroke to a 49-run win over Malahide in the other semi-final. Little top-scored with a 43-ball 69 (8 fours, 2 sixes), while Prendergast also cleared the ropes twice on her way to a 35-ball 52. Pembroke lost early wickets and never really threatened the total at any time - ending on 123 for 6, with Arlene Kelly and Anna Kerrison each making 25.
Round 1: Pembroke beat Rush by 122 runs.

Rush 63 (17.5 overs; H Little 5-13)
Pembroke as expected proved too strong for Rush at Sydney Parade. Pembroke racked up 185 for 5 with Louise Little top-scoring with 64, and runs too for Orla Prendergast (39) and Sarah Forbes (37) - two wickets for Ocean Bartlett. Hannah Little then made it a good day for the family by taking five wickets for 13 - unlucky for Rush who were bundled out for 63.
Round 1: Malahide beat Clontarf by 15 runs.

Malahide 132-7 (20 overs; A Kerrison 31*, M Thompson 22; L Barry 2-16, A Pasley 2-28)
Clontarf 117-6 (20 overs; G Sargent 26*, H Pasley 26*; A Kerrison 2-15, S Condron 2-20)
Closest game of the night was at The Village where Malahide edged out Clontarf by 15 runs. Meg Thompson made 22 and Anna Kerrison an unbeaten 31in a home side total of 132 for seven - two wickets apiece for Lucy Barry and Anna Pasley. Clontarf were in early trouble, but recovered thanks to Gemma Sargent and Hannah Pasley's 7th wickets stand that ultimately fell just short.
Round 1: Leinster lost to Merrion by 35 runs.

Merrion 169-4 (20 overs; B Armstrong 71, R Stokell 35, L Paul 24)
Leinster 134-4 (20 overs; S MacMahon 47, L Delany 43)
New Zealand professional Bella Armstrong continued her rich vein of form as she followed up Sunday's century with 71 in a Merrion total of 169 for 4 at Rathmines - runs too for Irish internationals Rebecca Stokell (35) and Leah Paul (24). Leinster's own Irish duo Sophie MacMahon (47) and Laura Delany (43) were in the runs but never threatened to chase it down, ending 35 short on 134 for 4.
Round 1: Phoenix lost to Balbriggan by 6 wickets.

Balbriggan 123-4 (14.5 overs; Lara Maritz 48, Madison Landsman 35)
Balbriggan pulled off the shock of the night as they ousted Phoenix by six wickets on their home patch. Gaby Lewis went cheaply and the hosts made a relatively modest 121 for 5 - Nevedha Saravanarajan top scoring with 38 and two wickets for Tess Maritz. The chase was surprisingly straightforward as Lara Maritz took her Super Series isolation out on Phoenix by thumping a quickfire 48, and was well supported by overseas player and fellow Holywood member Madison Landsman - who made 35 as the six wickets win was sealed in the 15th over. Balbriggan will meet Merrion in the last four while the other semi-final will pit Pembroke and Malahide.
Preliminary Round: The Hills lost to Phoenix by 8 wickets.
