Wickets started to fall, and it was a steady 27 from Zara Craig that got Phoenix up to 129 for 7 - two wickets for Aoife Brennan and four run outs. The Merrion reply was soon in tatters as Georgina Dempsey took three wickets, while Bella Armstrong was run out as they slumped to 20 for 5. Isabel Light made 23 as they attempted to rally, but more run outs saw Merrion 65 all out.

CL Women's Senior League
Malahide lost to Leinster by 58 runs.
The Village, 21 August.

Sophie MacMahon was another Irish player who had a point to prove after being left out of the European Qualifying Squad. The Leinster all-rounder certainly did that as she brutally dismantled the Malahide bowling hitting 13 of the 27 balls she faced to the boundary, dominating an opening stand with 59 of the 70 runs scored, before falling just after the powerplay. Rebecca Rolfe made a run-a-ball 48 not out, adding 60 for the second wicket with Joanne Loughran (32) in a Leinster total of 167 for 3. Malahide's reply never got going - Anna Kerrison (36) top-scoring as they made 109 for 5.
CL Women's Senior League
The Hills lost to Pembroke by 9 wickets.
The Vineyard, 21 August.

Pembroke went top thanks to a comprehensive 9-wicket win over The Hills. The home side had started brightly with an opening stand of 52 between Abbi Harrison 29 (5 fours) and Tahlia Dunne (20), but lost their way to be 111 all out - two wickets for Sarah Forbes. The reply was dominated by Louise Little, who crunched 8 fours and 2 sixes in an unbeaten 41-ball 64, adding an unbroken 82 for the second wicket with Isobel Jennings (21*).
Final: Pembroke lost to Merrion by 64 runs.
Sydney Parade, 11 July.

Leah Paul starred with the bat and ball as Merrion proved too strong for hosts Pembroke. The Irish international top-scored with an unbeaten 97 and followed that up by removing the openers in a Player of the Match display.
Semi-final: Balbriggan lost to Merrion by 126 runs.
Jack Harper Ground, 1 July.

A third wicket stand of 108 in 50 balls between Irish internationals Leah Paul and Rebecca Stokell was the catalyst for Merrion's 126-run win at Balbriggan. Paul hit 11 fours in a whirlwind 62 from 31 balls, while Stokell was no slouch either on her way to 41 off 31 deliveries (4 fours). Aisling Lawlor (25*) and Ally Boucher (22*) then added an unbroken 53 in five overs to take Merrion to a total of 210 for 4. The chase never got going as Ella Marsh's 25 was the best of Balbriggan's 84 all out. The wickets were shared with two apiece for Aoife Brennan, Victoria Hayes, Leah Paul, Ashwi Manoj and Bella Armstrong.
Semi-final: Pembroke beat Malahide by 49 runs.
Sydney Parade, 1 July.

A second wicket stand of 86 in 9 overs between Irish internationals Louise Little and Orla Prendergast propelled Pembroke to a 49-run win over Malahide in the other semi-final. Little top-scored with a 43-ball 69 (8 fours, 2 sixes), while Prendergast also cleared the ropes twice on her way to a 35-ball 52. Pembroke lost early wickets and never really threatened the total at any time - ending on 123 for 6, with Arlene Kelly and Anna Kerrison each making 25.
Round 1: Pembroke beat Rush by 122 runs.
Sydney Parade, 22 May.

Pembroke as expected proved too strong for Rush at Sydney Parade. Pembroke racked up 185 for 5 with Louise Little top-scoring with 64, and runs too for Orla Prendergast (39) and Sarah Forbes (37) - two wickets for Ocean Bartlett. Hannah Little then made it a good day for the family by taking five wickets for 13 - unlucky for Rush who were bundled out for 63.
Round 1: Malahide beat Clontarf by 15 runs.
The Village, 22 May.

Closest game of the night was at The Village where Malahide edged out Clontarf by 15 runs. Meg Thompson made 22 and Anna Kerrison an unbeaten 31in a home side total of 132 for seven - two wickets apiece for Lucy Barry and Anna Pasley. Clontarf were in early trouble, but recovered thanks to Gemma Sargent and Hannah Pasley's 7th wickets stand that ultimately fell just short.
Round 1: Leinster lost to Merrion by 35 runs.
Rathmines, 22 May.

New Zealand professional Bella Armstrong continued her rich vein of form as she followed up Sunday's century with 71 in a Merrion total of 169 for 4 at Rathmines - runs too for Irish internationals Rebecca Stokell (35) and Leah Paul (24). Leinster's own Irish duo Sophie MacMahon (47) and Laura Delany (43) were in the runs but never threatened to chase it down, ending 35 short on 134 for 4.
Round 1: Phoenix lost to Balbriggan by 6 wickets.
Phoenix Park, 22 May.

Balbriggan pulled off the shock of the night as they ousted Phoenix by six wickets on their home patch. Gaby Lewis went cheaply and the hosts made a relatively modest 121 for 5 - Nevedha Saravanarajan top scoring with 38 and two wickets for Tess Maritz. The chase was surprisingly straightforward as Lara Maritz took her Super Series isolation out on Phoenix by thumping a quickfire 48, and was well supported by overseas player and fellow Holywood member Madison Landsman - who made 35 as the six wickets win was sealed in the 15th over. Balbriggan will meet Merrion in the last four while the other semi-final will pit Pembroke and Malahide.
Preliminary Round: The Hills lost to Phoenix by 8 wickets.
The Vineyard, 13 May.
