There was sad news this morning with the death of Fox Lodge stalwart Jackie Heywood.
Jackie was synonymous with the Ballymagorry club and fulfilled a number of roles there over the years.
North West President Connie McAllister paid tribute saying:
"It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Jackie Heywood this morning.
"Jackie was the head of the Heywood family who have been the backbone of the Fox Lodge club for a lifetime.
"He was devoted to the game of cricket and deeply respectful and welcoming to me and all visitors to the club during my time as NW President and indeed before.
"I would like to offer my condolences to all the Heywood family, especially his sons who all played with Fox Lodge with great pride and distinction. Also to the members of the club at this sad time.
"A true legend in his lifetime, RIP Jackie, you were a true friend."
