Stephen Doheny and Gavin Hoey are in line to win their first Test caps next month as Ireland look to continue their three-match winning streak in Bangladesh.

The Dublin-based duo are among five new faces in a 15-strong squad named yesterday for the two-match series in Sylhet and Dhaka, along with Liam McCarthy, Cade Carmichael and Jordan Neill.

Merrion batter Doheny will compete with Carmichael for the opening spot left vacant by the retirement of PJ Moor, while Pembroke leg-spinner Hoey may have to wait for the second Test at the spin-friendly Mirpur ground at Dhaka to make his debut.

The Test series will be followed by three T20s in Chattogram where pace bowlers Mark Adair and Josh Little will return to action after long-term injuries.

Tim Tector, who was controversially omitted from the recent T20 series against England, is also recalled, as the Ireland management begin to finalise their plans for the World Cup early next year.
