It was a season of near misses for Clontarf who threatened in all the major competitions but ultimately fell at the final hurdles.
Their strongest suit was their batting with six players scoring over 500 runs, with 12 senior hundreds scored by six different players highlighting the quality and depth at Castle Avenue.
David and Eoghan Delany each scored 817 runs at 54.47 and 43.00 respectively, with David scoring three 50's and two hundreds, while Eoghan scored one century and five fifties.
'Postman' Pat Xie delivered with 778 runs at 33.83 (4 fifties, 2 hundreds), just ahead of Mitchell Thompson who made 744 runs at 39.16 (5 fifties, 2 hundreds).
Seamus Lynch's debut season saw him make 616 at 26.78 (2 hundreds, 1 fifty), while John McNally weighed in with 518 runs at 27.26 (2 fifties), while Curtis Campher hit two hundreds and a fifty in just four appearances as he scored 310 at 77.50. David Vincent was the sixth centurion as he made 272 runs at 34.00 in eight innings.
The bowling wasn't as prolific but skipper David Delany still managed to have an impressive haul of 43 wickets at 17.79 with a best-bowling return of 7 for 19.
John McNally was another who had a five-wicket haul on his way to 29 wickets at 29.41, while Irish youth international Reuben Wilson collected 26 wickets at 28.12.
Spinner Cillian McDonnell took 24 scalps at 29.46, while there were also double figure returns for Patrick Xie (14), David Vincent (13), and Yash Bala (11).
There's much to be proud of at Clontarf and if they can keep the squad together next year there's no reason to think why they can't be there or thereabouts in the quest for silverware.
