It was a tough year for The Hills who not only failed to make the top half before the Premiership split, but ended bottom of the Championship and look destined for the wilderness of the First Team League in 2026.

A look at their stats paints a pretty grim picture with the batters struggling with the exception of Oliver Horlock who managed a credible 676 runs at 33.80 (1 hundred/5 fifties).

There was a big gap then to Andrew Kavanagh 341 runs at 17.94 and Matthew Weldon 330 at 20.63.

Hassan Shahid (261), James Cusack (259) and Edson Silva (244) all showed glimpses of their talent, but not often enough.

The bowling lacked depth with only three managing to take 20 wickets or more, led by Sean McNicholl who took 35 wickets.

Cian Nulty managed 27 wickets while Irish youth international Febin Manoj claimed 23 wickets.

There's no doubt given the history and strength of The Hills, that they will soon be back on their perch.
