Rush acquitted themselves well in their return to the new look Premiership in what was always going to be a steep learning curve for the Kenure club.

Their efforts are all the more admirable considering they went through the campaign without the services of an overseas professional or a Head Coach.

They finished in the bottom half of the split, but did manage a comfortable mid-table berth in the Championship post split.

Abidullah Taniwal topped their batting charts, while Nathan McGuire managed four centuries in a hot streak of form. Jack McGee also showed his quality and promise with two hundreds, while his brother Finn also showed decent form, while there were runs too for Nasir Totakhil.

Nasir also topped the bowling charts with 30 wickets, while the experienced duo of Allan Eastwood (25) and Jarred Barnes (24) enjoyed success. McGuire managed 17 wickets, while Alex Neary took 14.

Rush has a well deserved reputation for producing young cricketers, and if they can continued to blood a few and add a quality overseas player there's no reason they can't have another decent campaign in the top echelons of Leinster cricket.

They do look at least one, if not two bowlers short, so that could well be their focus over the winter months.
