Champions Fox Lodge recovered from a poor start to beat challengers Ballyspallen by 49 runs.

The Foxies had slipped to 63 for 5, but Aaron Heywood (48*) added 50 with Jason Milligan (31), then a further 71 for the 7th wicket with skipper Johnny Robinson (48) in a total of 220 - three wickets for Dylan McElhinney and two apiece for Graham and Stuart Kennedy.

The 'Spallen chase also spluttered early on as they were reduced to 21 for 3 - one of those wickets the free-scoring Isaac Bird.

Graham Kennedy hit 10 fours and a six in an even time 63, sharing a fourth wicket stand of 105 with Kyle Morrow (36).
