TEENAGE KICKS WITH GOOD NW REPRESENTATION IN YOUTH SQUADS

It’s a busy time for Ireland youth sides with no fewer than five squads involved in matches over the next few weeks.

Indeed, there are six U-15 girls from the region in England for the Malvern Festival at the minute, including four from Tyrone – Mansi Bhavsar, Tiara Mitchell, Jodie Spence and Ella Wasson, as well as Connie Block (Coleraine) and Leah Thompson (Bonds Glen).

Donemana’s Ryan McClintock, Lewis Pearson of Glendermott and Ballyspallen’s Jacon Blair are in Scotland for the U15 Boys Celtic Cup.

Ireland U17 Girls are in the Netherlands, with Bready all-rounder Millie Spence representing the region, while Freddie Ogilby is in the Under 19 squad.

Ireland U17 Boys are in action against Scotland next week, with Bready left-armer Travis Faulkner included as well as Bobby Brolly (Ardmore), Sam Haslett and Mark Robinson (Bonds Glen), plus James Smallwoods (Brigade).

Good luck to all.
