It's shaping up to be an exciting few weeks for Fox Lodge Women who are embroiled in a title battle with Bready, play the Maghermason side in another cup final, and also have an All-Ireland semi-final to look forward to,
Opener Saran Black has been a mainstay of the Ballymagorry side's success in recent weeks, and is hopeful of more medals and trophies in the coming weeks.
"Last week’s win against Eglinton booked our spot in the cup final on 15th August, where we’ll face Bready. This will be our eighth consecutive year making it to the final," said Black.
"We definitely miss Lucy Neely this season due to injury. She’s been a huge part of the team as both an opening batter and bowler, so it’s been tough without her. That said, it’s been great to see some of our younger players step up lately. Their performances with both bat and ball show we’ve got real depth in the squad.
"With the final coming up, the team’s focused on keeping this good form going and giving it our all to bring home the cup. Currently, we sit second in the league behind Bready after a 9-wicket victory over Strabane. Although Bready have a game in hand, we’re determined to keep the pressure on by winning our remaining matches.
"Both teams face competitive fixtures ahead, but with our players in such good form, we’re hopeful of finishing on top.
The focus now is to finish the season like last year and bring home both the league and cup."
Fox Lodge travel to Bready on Monday night where they need a victory to keep their title chances alive having suffered two wash-outs this season which look like being very costly.
