DONEMANA WIN UNDER-13 CUP

There was a real nail-biter in the Under 13 Cup final at Donemana last weekend as the home side prevailed over Coleraine in a game that ebbed and flowed throughout.

Riley Boyd hit 5 fours and 3 sixes in a top score of 42 from just 24 balls, while there were also runs for Seth Rainey (26) and Alfie O’Neill (20) in a Donemana total of 115 – wickets for Zarak Khan (4-18), James Murdock (3-3) and Isaac Smyth (2-43).

Isaac Smyth’s 54 and Ethan Darragh’s 28 looked to be guiding the Bannsiders to victory, but five wickets for Zac Stevenson proved crucial in swinging the momentum back to Donemana in a three-run win that had the large crowd on their toes all evening.
