Glendermott clinched the Under-18 cup with a five-wicket win over near rivals Brigade at The Rectory.

They bowled Brigade out for 84 with five wickets for Leyland McElwee and two for skipper Jake Montginery.

The Beechgrove's side batting failed to fire with Murtajiz Hussain top-scoring with 25, and Calum Cooke making 24.

Glendermott were always in control of the chase, helped in no small part by 41 extras - 37 of which were wides.

When they did get the ball on target, they captured five wickets with two apiece for Hussain and Caleb Bond.

McElwee hit 17 and Harry Ewing 14 as victory was achieved in the 15th over.
