Scotland and Jersey both won on the third days play of the European qualifier for the next men's T20 World Cup, leaving the tournament intriguingly poised.
Batting first after winning the toss, Scotland lost George Munsey early on in their innings, though fellow opener Ollie Hairs was able to score 52 from 35 balls. Contributions also came from Riche Berington (28 from 23) and Charlie Tear (32 from 24) as they scored 148-9 from their 20 overs. Bas de Leede was the pick of the Dutch bowlers with 3-17.
A 35 ball knock of 52 by Noah Croes was the top score in the Dutch reply, but the next highest score was Michael Levitt's 22 and they fell just short of their target, being restricted to 142-7 and losing by six runs. Chris Greaves was the pick of the bowlers with 3-26.

Earlier in the day, a fine all round performance from Harrison Carlyon helped Jersey beat their fellow Channel Islanders Guernsey by 22 runs. The off spinning allrounder scored 63 from 50 balls to help Jersey post 160-4 and then took 2-8 opening the bowling.
A 124 run partnership between Matthew Stokes (62 not out) and Oliver Nightingale (57) for the fifth wicket saw Guernsey get closer than they perhaps deserved, but the late acceleration was just a little too late and Guernsey were kept to 138-5,.
Heading into the penultimate round of matches tomorrow, Italy, Jersey and Scotland are all level on 3 points with Netherlands just behind on 2 points. Netherlands will play Guernsey in the afternoon with the Dutch heavy favourites. Scotland take on a strong Italy side in the morning with the victors putting themselves well placed for qualification.
