Foyle College booked their place in the Schools' Cup semi-final with an impressive seven-wicket win over Lurgan College at Donacloney

The Waterside College opted to bowl first and it looked a mistake as the hosts reached 81 for one, but were pegged by fine spells form Oliver Dunn and Eoghan Reynolds (4-19) - whose four wickets included a hat-trick.

Needing 129, Brigade's rising star James Smallwoods showed his class with a typically hard-hit 67 (8 fours, 3 sixes), with runs too for captain Cameron Nawn (20) and Adam Thompson (13*) in the comfortable win with almost nine overs in the bag.

Holders and competition favourites RBAI now face Foyle on Monday (12pm).

The winners of Monday's game - weather permitting - will meet Sullivan Upper School at Wallace Park Lisburn on Friday after they beat Regents HS by seven wickets, bowling them out for 56.
